The 51 shots put up in 5 games would be about right for a PG. The FT are concerning, but the 13 steals is good!

I know you are freaking out about the 16 TO, but over 5 games, thats... what 3 TO a game? Given the 25+ MPG, I'm completely fine with that.

Maybe, maybe not. One other player has a couple more assists total than EC. So it's not like anyone else is dishing the ball out much. EC is averaging 16.4 shots per game. The closest to him is averaging 7.0 shots per game. EC is taking 10.2 shots from two, which tells me he's driving the ball a lot. That suggests the ball is in his hands a lot. Overall, the team's 3FG% is slightly below mediocre so he's not getting much help with the assist numbers.

My guess is EC is playing a scoring PG. He's driving to the hoop and either pulling up or attacking the rim, getting stripped too often and occasionally dishing out. Not much different than we saw from him as a Frosh.

The positive things I see are he's attacking the boards and he's getting steals. Both can help. I think he can use this experience to gain some confidence and then work with Duhon to learn better court awareness for when to drive and then when to dish, pull up, attack the rim, or back out.

Been trying to find video of these games, to no avail. Anyone able to find any EC highlights?

The friendlies (exhibitions) were not on that YouTube site. I'm sure there will be game highlights after this weekend's contests.

I hope so. It would be nice to see how his game has progressed.

Elijah is playing now vs Italy in the previously provided YouTube link. I think he is 2 points right now. Tough to say because there is no scoreboard or broadcasters. Maybe 4 rebounds.

His team can stroke it though. A bunch of good shooters and plenty of assist opportunities. They haven't missed while I've been watching (15 min or so real time).

Sweden trails 46-37 at halftime.

17 points in a loss. He gets to the basket with ease just needs to still work on finishing. Italy had a size and used it to exploit the weak post of Sweden.

5/16 - 31% (Yikes)
1/6 - 17% 3P (won't get much respect from 3 like that. That lane will close right up)
6/11 - 55% free throws (I was hoping the exhibitions were a fluke but looks like this kid isn't much more thsn 60% free throw shooter)

Hopefully, his numbers will get better. He did well in the exhibitions besides from the line.

I think he has 13 points on 12 shots in the first half. He scored his teams last 5 points with a Madison Williams like dunk on Iceland, and a smooth 3 pointer.

Still gets to the bucket with ease, just can't finish. He's probably missed 4 open layups. His shot selection has been pretty good. The shots he is taking are there, just not going in.
