It’s not my thing but it’s a lot of people things, especially the students. Good for ISU for trying something.

I saw this technology used in an internet video I warched a year or so ago. I remember saying then how fun that would be for ISU to do this. I am excited to see it in action.
But....
"CUE technology doesn't require cellular service, Bluetooth or a Wi-Fi connection to work"

So how the neck does it work? I am very interested.... My only guess is that the app starts at a specific time. And with everyone probably getting the same time from the cell towers... it just works.
Any other guesses from the tech people on here?

I mean, it says it doesn't require it but I don't know how else you can connect to a phone or have data from an app move to a centralized location.

I was at a Purdue game last year and a couple other places that had it. You should just open the ISU app and the technology in the app does it.

I saw it at the Purdue too. Absolutely ISU shoukd be doing these entertainment thingies and always be on the cutting edge. Now need to get the product on the football field and basketball field to be of a widespread fan and recruit interest

Zach Schroeder told me we would be one of only two FCS schools to use this technology. Most are larger schools. Congrats to Zach for raising the bar!

This is actually awesome. I went a U of I game a few years ago and they did this and I've seen several others do it since. Been wishing for years Bradley would do this.

There's a youtube of a Purdue game where this was done. Looks pretty neat. I'm glad we're trying new things.

Very cool. Certainly a huge step to improve fan involvement / culture at RBA.

Way to go, Zach!

This is very cool! Something like this only works if the fans embrace it, and I really hope they do. The last several years they have gone away with the "traditional" pump up clap-along songs in favor of trying to increase fan engagement with their phone's flash lights. Sometimes it's worked, other times it hasn't. I feel like the best game it worked at was Wichita State during Paris and Tony's senior years. There may be others but that was one that sticks out. Other times... not so much. There always seemed to be pretty good engagement at Arch Madness, too. I wonder if they can make it work for that weekend?

Hopefully this takes off!

Here is what Purdue actually looks like.

It's neat! But will actively look like trash in RBA if we have games of like 4500-5200 fans all season.

Seems like this is what most on RBF.net expect to see with the new intros:

I agree if you have fans in the seats and the place rocking I love it! Wish UNI would get with the times and do something a little more cutting edge.
