I'm curious who wouldn't be here if Elijah still was... I'll go back and look when everyone signed in relation to Elijahs decision to go pro.

Pre-research, Dedric Boyd seems to be the likely candidate.
Hein was going to be a walk on (scholly used on Fischer) and Hein was given a scholly back when Clarance left. We would have had everyone we currently have plus Elijah.
Ah, that's right. Thank you for the reminder. I didn't remember how the timing of everything worked out.

From this morning's Minneapolis Star-Tribune:
• Former Gophers forward Reggie Lynch is playing professionally for BC Kalev in Latvia. Lynch is averaging 11.9 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.
I know some of us would rather not think of him as a former Redbird, including me at times, but it's interesting to know he's playing and where, etc.

Please only update on Lynch if he is eaten by a bear or collection of bears.

Yep and why those minutes do not go to someone else is beyond me...those few minutes Hein played in the Loyola game may have cost ISU the game.

While I agree he's a terrible person, some want to know what he's doing basketball wise. Just scroll by when you see his name.

I'll say it again, if you don't think Clarance wouldn't have had a MAJOR impact on our team this year, you are kidding yourself. MY has 86 turnovers in 20 games. That's 4.3 a game and with a minimum of 12 games left, He's going to blow by 120 for the season.

If so, even more of a reason to question HCDM and his inability to develop talent. I mean, EC was atrocious here. It’s now looking like he had the talent but was hamstrung by our inability to develop players.

Obviously he developed while here. Otherwise he doesn't blow up in the Euro tourney. You think he did all that development in the two weeks of practice before the tourney started? Good lord, pay attention.

And he wasn't hamstrung by lack of development, he was hamstrung by early season injuries.

Perfect. Maybe we can send the whole team to Europe, then bring them back to dominate

I believe this kid from Finland or Switzerland or something that just committed to Badley has been playing pro ball overseas and is still able to play at BU next year. Let's bring EC back next year and get the kid more exposure than he's getting now!

Consider me not sold on this. It’s one thing to get to the rim in Europe, it’s completely different game here. You don’t have to guard him on the perimeter because he can’t shoot a high enough percentage from 3. The best thing he would have done is take away minutes from Hein.

Quinn can say it as many times as he wants, but that kid was not a D1 ball player and would not have helped us except to have an extra man on the bench.

Just proof of DM recruiting another loser.

Speaking of Hein...

I am keeping an eye on his points and fouls. He has 25 fouls and 26 points averaging like 18 minutes a game. Can he possibly have more fouls than points at the end of the season?
