Ah. I saw the "STE" and I figured it was some version of steals.

Former Redbirds...
He's probably too small to be a defensive specialist. He would only be successful against point guards and wouldn't be able to switch, which is the most popular defensive style.Jsnhbe1Birds wrote: ↑Thu Nov 08, 2018 1:39 pmYou would think some team would want a defensive specialist.

He would get posted up non-stop by the long big guards in the NBA. Tyler Ulis, a better all around P Lee, is in the NBA and struggles with the same.Jsnhbe1Birds wrote: ↑Thu Nov 08, 2018 1:39 pmYou would think some team would want a defensive specialist.

Paris Lee is 10x better than Cam Payne.ChiRedbirdfan wrote: ↑Fri Nov 16, 2018 7:53 amHe would get posted up non-stop by the long big guards in the NBA. Elvis Harvey at Nichols State: He's played in five games, started two, averaged 14.8 minutes, 3.2 ppg, 2 rebounds, and almost 1.5 turnovers per game.
Andre Washington has played in four games, started two, scoring 6 ppg, and 8 rebounds. He's only committed four fouls in about over 20 minutes per game.

DAP got some action against the Lakers tonight in a Nugget's win.
To provide a little exaggerated comparison of the statistics
DAP's stat line highlights were
50% from the field
3 assists
no turnovers
+/- was a +7
Compared to Lebron who
Shot 33% from the field,
2 assists
4 turnovers
+/- was -23
And while yes, I'm having fun with this, it's awesome to see an Illinois State Redbird playing in the NBA and on a really good team. Very happy for him and hope he continues to earn minutes and evolve into playing more quality minutes while providing value to his team. Loved watching him in the NBA summer league and seeing the confidence he plays with. He's really improved his ball handling and ability to drive and pass in addition to his shooting. He just needs to keep improving his defense and overall game.

Thanks TP, I miss connecting with you and a good number of the members on here. Unfortunately, I've become less and less interested in getting on here and having to read through so many of the negative posts and people who's emotional states swing to the extremes on a possession by possession basis. There are some great posters on here but those who seem to wait to say something negative are just a little too much for my taste. I miss a lot of the good banter back and forth over the last 20 years on here.
Totally agree with you Doug. I used to post frequently from the beginning until about the time Baby and a few others were frequently posting. I did, however, continue to read it all virtually every day.DougSutton wrote: ↑Wed Nov 28, 2018 9:28 pmThanks TP, I miss connecting with you and a good number of the members on here. I just wish more people can see the big picture and not decide what we are going to be based on one game or even half a game.
Nothing wrong with being flustered at the way we played in the first half (or half of any game). Gotta give it to them for coming back and gutting this one out. Now build on it.
You have probably noticed that since I have aged I don't tease anymore or try to get on some of these dopes nerves anymore. I bet you miss the snow.DougSutton wrote: ↑Wed Nov 28, 2018 9:28 pmThanks TP, I miss connecting with you and a good number of the members on here.
