Re: Birds @ Bears

Boy do I love being a 20+ point favorite in conference on the road. This is what WSU basketball felt like for years.

I think Kolbe is going to throw more and more as games go on. I expect our scores to go up with that.

Re: EIU Game thread (9/16)

So far, Illinois State has the best defense in Div 1 football by points and yards.

Our RBs are drenched in talent, as well.

If Kolbe can manage a game and avg 225 yds plus a 2-1 td to int, ISU will be easily one of the favorites for Frisco.

Keep it up.

Having a bad second half. This Scotty Gilkey has lit a fire under the Panthers. D needs to run contain on this kid. Make the backs beat you.

Re: 2017 freshmen by school

Six hundred students. Let's look at the numbers. Let's say EIU students pay an average of, what, 300 a credit hour? Let's assume the avg freshmen takes 24 credits a year. " That's only $4,320,000. That's not enough to keep a community college rolling, much ,less a major university. Apply the same nu...

Re: 2018 vs st. Xavier

So I was just reading the T25 thread and I have a thought: SOS is never going to be a concern for us, not in this conference anyway. ND State SD State UNI Youngstown St Western South Dakota Indiana St These are going to be perennial T30 programs thru 2018. So, no matter what, we are going to play at...

Re: 2018 vs st. Xavier

Do we owe SXU a favor or something? There is zero winning here. If you win 55-7, you let a D2 team score. If you score 70+, you are running it up. If you have a close game at all, it might as well be a loss. You are telling me that NOBODY in the Big East, MAC, Big 12, Pac 12, ACC, Sunbelt or ANY FCS...

Re: Butler Game Thread

Telling stat: 21 rushes for Butler- 0 yards. I wasn't impressed by Kolbe today, but that new #5 kid...id love to see him throw.

I think points against ISU this year are going to be damn near impossible. This secondary was LOCK DOWN and they gave up NOTHING at the line.

Let's crush EIU.

Re: Hopefully...Coach Muller through 2024....

LOL. Only you guys can see Dan Muller signing on thru the next half decade as a potential negative. "Well, if a power 5 comes calling, he'll leave". Probably true. If someone with a billion dollars rolls up and drops Gregg Marshall money on Coach's lawn, he's probably gone, but that does not take a...

Re: Butler Predictions Thread

Welp, Saturday is the day we've been waiting on. Forecast: 76 degrees and mostly sunny. I expect it to be 13,500+ in the house, injured by the fact that many students will go home for the long weekend. 5 score favorites is telling, but I can't disagree. This defense will be the best defense any play...

Re: Hopefully...Coach Muller through 2024....

WOOOO! Score! Got one of the very best young coaches in college basketball signed through 2024! I frankly think he deserves more $$$ per year, but $600K/yr is about $15,000 take home every two weeks. I think coach can be pretty happy with that! Congrats Dan Muller! Now, let's go make it to the big s...

Re: Starting Five

You can't go by the "eye test" of how a JC player looks in practice. The D1 game is much faster than what WT is used to. Williams has seen the game and been able to cut his teeth at this level. You don't give him all that PT last year and have him struggle as he did as a freshmen if you don't intend...

James O'Shaughnessy looks like he will be making the roster for the defending Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots. With their history of utilizing TEs and Gronk's recent injury history, JOS should have a good year in New England!

Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates is perfect. You wont need more than 12,000 seats and the location. Where would you want to eat at if it were at the Sears Centre? Is it within walking distance? Also, where are the hotels to accommodate 10,000 people? Little logistics problem with a 4 day event there...
