Re: Italy Trip, Coaching Assignments, New Offense

Since winning and going to the NCAA Tournament are no longer priorities. I can't wait for the parade down Main Street celebrating the team after they lose in the quarterfinals at Arch Madness next year. What is interesting is I talked with Jim Benson and he actually wrote an article in case that ha...

Re: Lyons on bribery admission scandal

I don't know the exact answer, but I would assume most of the ISU employees that like to tweet about sitting courtside or in the first few rows do not donate to get those seats and I say that because they are in different seats depending on the game. Show us the tweets. You said we'd be surprised b...

Re: Lyons on bribery admission scandal

We don't sell 4,000 season tickets anymore. You would be surprised how many ISU employee and corporate seats we give away. It's kind of sad to talk with the people that used to go to games in the 80's and 90's and don't anymore. There was such a rabid, passionate fan base back in those days. Too ma...

Re: Lyons on bribery admission scandal

To back up to the start of this. Why is anyone asking Larry about anything right now other than when does he plan to retire? Even though the more I think about it, a guy that employed hired his son over more qualified candidates without a search could be the expert on this subject. Who were the oth...

Re: Thoughts for this week and going into 2019-2020--HCDM centric

Friends, I sent the below to HCDM about 2 weeks ago. Thought I'd share and I'd suggest if you really care about the program and in my case, I truly want Dan to remain as our head coach. Have a look..... ************************************************************************************************...

Re: Coaching Candidates

OK, I am done, Quinnie. I should know better replying to personal shots. I need to do better. I think a hiatus would be good, now. Or just use facts... Use facts like your fundraising and premium seating “facts” that were easily dispelled? You’re just someone who enjoys hearing themselves talk and ...

Re: Give Back

That was also a joke. I don’t have a problem with the club seats model except if I pay for a premium seat, you would think you would get premium food and drink. Having the burden of experience and knowledge (which can be a heavy burden here) outside of going to ISU games, I know what other schools ...

Is raising money good, or is it 'extortion'? That was also a joke. Re: Give Back

I love it. The Kool Aid crew actually somewhat using facts for once. Caught me off guard. Good to see Larry has given someone his resume. I don’t really consider suite sales as fundraising, but I’ll give it to you. Other than Larry had really nothing to do with that. The golf practice facility. Sti...

Re: Give Back

:x Not shocking...here is the sad status update on fundraising projects during the Lyons era....we got hot and cold tubs!!! https://spark.adobe.com/page/DPAAUPtwWbuK4/?fbclid=IwAR1ZvRoIJCIKWYCUCi7y5TFGVRmKcHCvuLLgQCq33kAuKdkEigblz7apR-s I think the purpose of this was to just show donor funded proj...

Re: Give Back

I'm shocked we don't already have something like this? To me this is pretty damming of our 18th century athletic department. Whatever piddly amount they raised for the indoor facility should go towards something like this. It's much more needed. Not shocking...here is the sad status update on fundr...

Re: Gameday at Redbird

Long time visitor of RBF, first time poster. I have been to 2 women’s games this year and the progress on the court is noticeable after not going to any games during the previous era. The Redbird Arena experience, however, is still maddening. They really don’t seem to care about the fan base. Let m...
