Re: John Beilein leaving Michigan

It's an ELITE job. That'd be GREAT, but I don't think so. Hope UM proves me wrong. I'm curious if Beilein has full authority to hire his staff? Any chance he goes with? Will Yak be named interim until new coach arrives? Will new coach offer Yak a spot? Will new coach send him packing? Here come the...

Either way it will be interesting to see how a legit AD views Yak as a head coaching candidate.
That’s what I am curious about! We heard so much the past year about the great D! Let’s see if he is on a short list of Candidates...and if he even gets a courtesy interview!

Re: Abdou Ndiaye

A 6’10” big man with guard-like handles? Players like this don’t end up the Valley, so excuse me for saying, “I’ll believe it when I see it “ Experience, given the hype on this board, leads me to believe this is either wishful thinking or we’ve become too accustomed to subpar guard play. Have no fe...

Re: Abdou Ndiaye

I would caution against judging Boyd’s year at EKU too hard. He took a ton of shots on a bad team. I would bet he forced a lot trying to make something happen. What are we going to be? A great team? Nobody has any idea. It’s all speculation. We have three open scholarships and a bunch of players NO...

Re: Assistant coach?

I agree. A great hire for an assistant. I mentioned Muller needs to spend some of his money and wrestle away a former head coach or great assistant. I like the hire.

Re: Assistant coach?

Barry Hinson ...would be fun. a proven 17 year record of not being able to recruit or develop or coach a team (or any combination of the three) to the level of the ncaa tournament should disqualify any and all peeps Why? Seems to be the perfect mentor for where we are headed under Muller... Here is...

Re: Signing day

With Moser at Loyola, and the Mullins AAU pipeline to Carbondale, going to be very difficult for Muller to have any recruiting success in state. I don't buy it. There are so many basketball players in this state for all of the programs to be strong. The challenge is can Muller and staff develop Ill...

https://twitter.com/ramnationsports/status/1121500665342320641 Kid scored it in high school. I don't have any inside info, but seems that it would be a PWO situation. He won the POY award. An award recently won by recruiting whiff, Gavin Block (Lincoln). I'll take it! Thanks for sharing the article...

Re: Signing day

Just for reference, most of our commitments last season came between now and the second week of May. No need to panic. Especially since more transfers hit the market daily. You are definitely happy go lucky. Recruiting in May year in and year out...for the upcoming season is a recipe for disaster. ...

Re: Closing the Book on 2018-19, Looking towards 2019-20

Isn't it funny how some people flip out over one bad year. A year where we still finished above .500 btw. Can't imagine how they would react if they were Illinois fans. Yikes Yeah, we would be upset Illinois fans to receive a 7 ft, 290 lb. center ranked in the top 50. Sounds like a bummer. Instead ...

Lyons will keep his job and we will be playing on Thursday again.
What odds do you give this? I'll bet the Birds won't be playing on Thursday night in the MVC Tournament in 2020.
And if they are....
Muller will get a 3 year extension.

Thanks Muller!

How about a night at the Pub? We can celebrate the glorious conclusion of year 8. And then you have to wear a bu shirt a...

Anthony Beane will not be retained at SIU. Mullins will have a completely new staff. Also, Mullins still says Chris Payton is committed.... good luck with that. https://twitter.com/THefferman/status/1118189254683787264 Qualified? Hmmmmm You do know Payton didn’t leave the program because his grades...

I hear Muller is responsible for the rise in shootings in town.

Thanks Muller
How could that be? I mean, wouldn't shooting percentage go down if he were involved?

On the flip side MoSt has FOUR TIMES the budget we have for men's basketball. That'll get Dana in front of players substantially more than Dan. Four times. Man. Where are you getting this? I’m pretty sure Missouri St doesn’t have a $10mm/year basketball budget. Wichita’s is like $7mm and pretty sur...

When Muller gets an Illinois recruit 3⭐️ Or better come talk to me. Until then ramble on. It’s exciting Times at ISU beating out Detroit and Kennessaw State for recruits. Muller is so bad, he recruited players with zero stars. Zero! https://n.rivals.com/content/prospects/2016/phil-fayne-178442 BOOO...
