Re: Canadian prospect

Got a few HS & Juco coach contacts always with their fingers on the international pulse. One of whom already said he’d get back to me with whatever info he could find. Unique name. If he starts draining 3’s it’ll be worth a chuckle over the PA.

Re: Grand Canyon U

What’s the obsession with GCU? I don’t get it. It’s a for-profit institution that is considered in the bottom 25% in academics. $$ One thing I'll give them is their fans are rabid and they have an awesome atmosphere at their home games. They get that arena packed & rockin' every night. It's pretty ...

Re: Next year’s Non-conference schedule

I know Elgin took away the Jank tiebreakers (sort of, the NET still looks at SOS).... But, it may be time to implement something that would encourage tougher schedules. Although UNI did play in a quality MTE and at Colorado... I would be fine with their schedule if they played a couple of other mid...

Re: Alex Kotov - JuCo Commit

Well, a stretch 4 who is not the greatest athlete, or best post player...but who can be a trailer in transition and spot up from behind the arc and shoot over guys when necessary is not a bad thing.

We can hope he becomes Levi Dyer-esque 8-)

Re: 3-5/6:00PM - ISU v DU (MVC Opening Round)

The best part about this season is that it's now over. It started out well. Those first two wins were exciting, we showed some grit and effort and found ways to close them out. It was impressive for such a new group. Then it all took a major shit. We have to just hope next season is somehow better, ...

Re: 3-5/6:00PM - ISU v DU (MVC Opening Round)

We haven't come remotely close to winning four straight all year. Therefore there is zero reason to expect us to now.

Which is exactly why we probably will :P

Re: PIG...

Here we go. Four wins in four days. Gonna be the first to do it, simply because we absolutely shouldn't. Once we get by DU, we proceed to hammer UNI on Friday, thus ruining their at-large chances for the second time this year. By this point, confidence is sky-high but everyone is incredibly relaxed ...

Re: Let's talk bu @ Illinois State

Been awhile since our games with BU were really big...as in, both teams good at the same time, impact in standings on the line and lots of hype surrounding the game. 2009 maybe? It'll be fun when it's like that again, but for now I'm sadly going to say: Them 71 Us 63 5,216 in the arena. 11 students ...

Re: What if ISU is now a Football school? What's wrong with that?

Didn't attend the So Dakota game, but made it to halftime of the NDSU game in '17. Not ashamed at all to admit I left. 4th, I've heard from others that when it settled down into snow in the 4th quarter it was actually better. On the other side of the spectrum, there was that game @ Iowa. Really fel...

Re: ISU at UNI

We'll either steal a close one because we have absolutely no business doing so, and thus dash the fledgling hope that UNI could have at an at-large should they fail to win in STL...or we will lose 95-17.

Re: ISU at Missouri State

The confounding thing is that we're talking about lack of effort from a DM team. He was one of the hardest working players on the floor during his playing days, and yet overall effort on the teams he coaches are left wanting, especially in the last two seasons. Are his philosophies not translating t...

Re: Benson

I think it is time to #FireBenson. I don't get why Benson decides to be tougher on the fans than he ever has been on Muller? Also, the fact that Jim thinks this is the same scenario as Janko shows how little he knows about basketball. Nic Moore and Tyler Brown aren't walking in the door next year. ...

Re: ISU vs. Evansville - 1/29 - MegaBowl

UE always comes ready to play night in, night out. Us? Who knows. If our effort could translate on both ends of the floor for once and we don't turn it over 83 times, we might win one. In a stunning turnaround, a noisy and energized weeknight crowd of 6,843 which includes both student sections pack...

Also, I believe the Paragraph has just four sports reporters. That's it. Jim can't cover ISU sports 24/7. This. ...and it's a problem at newsrooms across the country. It's unfortunately become a cutthroat industry and staffs at media outlets have been having layoffs for many years now. I've known c...

Re: NFL Draft

They're both for sure getting more attention after their performances in the East-West Shrine game. Hard to guess rounds but Kirk could go higher than 6th to a team that needs secondary depth. As for JR, 4th sounds about right but he might have a shot at 3rd if teams realize his game speed & power w...

Maybe instead of pushing for Dan to get fired the campaign should be for him to resign. Let him know he isn't welcome here if we really feel that way and run him out of town cause the administration and media seem in no rush to improve matters It's not the media's job to improve our situation. It w...
