I'm a little afraid to continue this thread and open this up again, but what the hey . . . Re: FCS coaching changes ... couple big ones

Sounds reasonable enough, I guess. Not that exciting, but pretty good. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/college/ct-spt-adam-cushing-eastern-illinois-20181209-story.html Here’s another name you might one day associate with Eastern Illinois football — Adam Cushing. The veteran offensive line coach...

Re: FCS coaching changes ... couple big ones

Here's a short update on EIU's search. Minnesota RB coach Kenni Burns turned them down to stay at Minny. He's from Springfield and was on NDSU staff under Craig Bohl for a while. http://footballscoop.com/news/sources-kenni-burns-strong-candidate-eastern-illinois/ thefootballscoop.com is a good sourc...

Re: Indoor Facility News

For those in favor of a bubble, I think this would be a decent option. Just throw it up over Hancock. https://bceagles.com/facilities/?id=8 I'm not a huge fan of the bubbles, but can agree that it would be better than nothing. Just can't understand how so many D2 schools can manage to put together ...

Re: 1979

I agree - a heartbreaking loss. I believe that was the closest game Indiana State had that year until the National Championship game vs Michigan State. Side note - notice the Chief during the introductions. Even though they did not show them in that video, I remember the Indiana State cheerleaders ...

Re: Indoor Facility News

Doubt very much we will see an inflatable dome. Or anything else. :eusa-think: It is extremely evident that this athletic dept needs to be purged. When you're using Mankato State as the model for what Illinois State should follow, that's an indication that it's hit rock bottom. Just to be clear, I ...

Re: Please read: RBF Survey

I have no problem whatsoever with the way the board is being run. There are a few posters I don't pay any attention to, every now and then I might engage with them, but for the most part I don't waste my time with people who are obviously too impressed with themselves to pay any attention to other o...

Re: Lexi Wallen, from VB to BBall....

I don't really mean this as a cut to Coach G, but I hope she gives this lady a chance to help. Coach seems to have a short bench - I know there are injuries this year, but even at the beginning she didn't seem to use all her "weapons". Wallen looks to have some skills, at least 4 years ago.

I think I read that Jeremiah Jordan from Madison was planning on graduating in December and enrolling for second semester. There's one.

Re: The List so far 2019

The Wisconsin Associated Press/Media all-state football team was announced today. One team, all classes. Our commit Matt Wedig from Beloit Memorial HS made the 14-man first team offensive team at the "all-purpose" position. Listed at 6'4, 210lbs. The other two Wisconsin signees were named honorable ...

Played at Wisconsin the second game on 98 and at ISU during the 99 season. Ok. Just remember going to Madison and beating them up there. Thx Beat them in the NIT in the old barn in 97/8 and then started a home and home up there the following year. Lost both of those games This is what I remember, w...

I watched it live on ESPN+ last night and all went well. Showed whole game and all of overtime. Announcers sucked.
Same here in Madison.

Re: Commit from Wisconsin

Talking to a couple friends, from this kid's hometown, they noticed he wasn't on the roster anymore (he did show up on the roster in September). Anyone know anything?

I assume no fit/personality clash with new staff? But maybe he didn't leave school and is redshirting or something?

Wow. This has been a busy discussion. Rather than trying to address every single posts, I will just throw out some seemingly random points that address some of the other points some of you have made. The number one reason someone buys a season ticket is to have the SAME seat. Every game, hopefully ...

Re: Will the Athletic Department Fail Again?

they need to give away tickets You and I finally agree. You need to simply hand out 500-2000 tickets for every game. No student should have to buy a ticket to any athletic event ever. Yes, some season ticket holders will huff, but by giving people a taste of what fun it is, they are more likely to ...

Re: 3 Valley teams in playoffs

I don't think Incarnate Word beats Montana State, but I wonder if Iowa State reached out to ILST? I doubt it, but it makes sense geographically. We have already played 11 games, so couldn't play even if we wanted to - NCAA limits us to 11 games this year. Drake had a game cancelled and has only pla...
