Re: Coaching Candidates

OK, I am done, Quinnie. I should know better replying to personal shots. I need to do better. I think a hiatus would be good, now.

Re: 2019 Arch Madness Seeding

NO CRAP?

Wichita left, Rico? When did that happen :)

Then the AAC should get all the credit. And after all that happened a couple of years go, so it doesn't count, now. Or does it? A few posters make this so confusing, sometimes :)

Re: Coaching Candidates

ISU #1, are calling me a lair? Yes or No?

It gets mean here sometimes, but I take that as a personal insult if you saying I am lying.

Look folks, you can take my information or opinions any way you want. I don't give a crap. But I don't lie. Period.

Forums can get so ugly when they get personal :(

Re: 2019 Arch Madness Seeding

Ya know, Adunk, this might be the year that the Valley, with it's one bid flames out in the first round. There will be 4 or 5 happy posters coming back to me throwing it my face. Yet, many of the mediocre P5's will also get beat in the first round. If it is an alternate fact that the league proved i...

Re: Coaching Candidates

You really think I am an admin :) That's hilarious. Again, posters running out of real legit ideas and positions start making it about posters -- making it personal. I have said it before -- I am not with the athletics department or employed with the university in any way. I am a starving artist by ...

Re: 2019 Arch Madness Seeding

gobirds85, I think that Loyola, and even Drake would finish higher than any middle of the road / .500ish P5 conference team that will get a totally undeserved at large bid to the NCAA tournament. Loyola is nearly the same team that went to the final four last year, beating some P5's along the way. I...

Re: Coaching Candidates

Now, could you imagine how that would be spun here, gobirds72? Of course, Lyons failed to predict the future so he needs to be fired. To answer your question, I think they may have to see how it goes. A big part of the WSF commitments are in already. If I knew where things stood as of now, I would h...

Re: 2019 Arch Madness Seeding

They are certainly bias, Rico and the rest.. That's why they keep changing. Especially since 2006. I dunno what "factors" you are talking about. They they are computed has absolutely changes. However the P5's want 'em. Redbird60451, got it right. I have quit paying attention to it. Because it is fix...

Re: 2019 Arch Madness Seeding

Well said, Redbird60451. Everything designed regarding these ratings, and all things that determine strength of conference and at large bids runs through the P5's. It has since 2006. Great other points as well.

Re: Coaching Candidates

Now Rico, how can I possibly compete with anything you post about anything having to do with ISU athletics. No human can. Now look at what you posted to slam Lyons... "I give ISU credit, jacking up prices after a failed season is a bold move, but Larry is a bold guy." So, Rico, you are saying YOU KN...

Re: 2019 Arch Madness Seeding

I dunno anything about 17th or whatever, Rico. Do you have anything to address what I posted? Just that I like to look at actual results, that's all. I do know that 29 conferences did not get a team in the ff just last year. I know that personnel was comparable in the conference from last year.

Re: Coaching Candidates

I don't think "lots" of people even know, or have looked at how the lower bowl is being configured, Rico. How many is "lots"? You like to throw out stuff like that. Just wondering what that even constitutes "lots" in your mind. And yeah, we are asking for more $$$. Now if we would asked less, you wo...

Re: 2019 Arch Madness Seeding

Or, maybe, Rico, the league is more balanced, but I am not surprised you took it that direction. Loyola, actually most all of the Valley did not lose that much talent since last year when we put a team in the ff, which could mean the league's just more competitive, top to bottom. It's probably a com...

Re: Kindred discusses Donewald era

It is funny to me that I read somewhere here a put down on the program because we "fired a final four coach". Like you pointed out jbird, there was a strong consensus at the time that Porter needed to go, but now some trying to find fault with our admins is contorting to say now firing Porter is ano...

Re: 2019 Arch Madness Seeding

I wonder when the last time was that a play-in team took 3 of 4 from the top two seeds? Maybe the old seeding method was better. Maybe it was better when is was non SOS.

Re: Coaching Candidates

Whatever good that has happened for the valley, including a ff one year ago is completely irrelevant. What is happening RIGHT NOW is only relevant. Except the same poster pointed out last week another valley coach went to the NCAA a few years ago is all of a sudden relevant, to put our coach down.. ...

Re: Give Back

For some, however we raise money is "too late, too little, extortion, whatever". How any other U does it is of course wonderful. There is no way to separate the fieldhouse portion from the rest of the Horton (west side). Just tearing down the building would cost over $10 million. More than the cost ...

Re: Kindred discusses Donewald era

Good stuff. Excellent story and comments here. The one thing that has changed is that Donewald's two at large tourney teams would not get in today. Not since 2006.
