Re: Smits gone from Valpo

Valpo could've been a good team next year with him. I'm glad he's gone, but only for selfish reasons.

She always has a happy demeanor too. Glad she'll be back next year to hopefully win POY.

Wow! I thought one of them might make it. Hopefully coach can find another JC like Simon for next year. She'll be missed for sure.

Re: Italy in August

I like it. Didn’t Bradley go on one this past summer? Just don’t get kicked out of a game like Greggggggg did. Yes they did. I think they played a few games in England and the Netherlands. I guess the NCAA allows that kinda of trip every four years , so we're due. It probably comes at a good time. ...

Re: What Style of Game do you want to see?

How about adding more than just the 3 point line?. There could several further out lines with higher points. So if you're down by seven with 2 seconds to go you can try a half court shot for the win. If down by 20, you might need to hit a full court shot. Then the coach can be proud of our team for ...

Re: What Style of Game do you want to see?

This may not be what you mean, but I have suggestions for fan experience 1. The Lloyd Phillips style of 9 1/2 seconds to the center court line 2. Throwing a bucket of confetti into the crowd, occasionally subbing in real water 3. Ignore the shot clock 4. beating your chest after dunks when behind 2...

Re: Copeland, Hein out 2019

Don't shoot the messenger but I just received this message: Josh Jefferson might also be out. I talked to his mom on Friday night and she was sharing the same information. It was mostly about the intimidation tactics of Muller. If they make a mistake they are out. Do with it what you will I'm start...

Re: Copeland, Hein out 2019

I'm pretty sure Fisher will be a really good defender. The coach said he can defend the post way better than Phil, but doesn't have those quick offensive moves that Phil has. He said his shot is pretty good too, but I don't he'll average 10 points a game for us. I just hope he can raise the intensit...

Re: Copeland, Hein out 2019

Copeland probably is scared of having to face Keith Fisher after he plays bad. Hein, I can see why he wouldn't want to return. Best of luck to them both. If true, that of course opens up things even more for next year. Sad thing, I don't see a lot of recruiting buzz. It would be nice to see three of...

Thanks for the info. I guess we finished pretty much where we invested. Even Bradley spends more than us, of course they have to rent out the Civic Center where we own ours.

Re: Muller / Hinson / Wardle - A comparison.

That is a pretty good look at the sad situation of ISU basketball. Muller should be feeling the heat, but won’t at all. Hinson and Wardle took over programs at their worst and made them competitive. Dan took over a program that was in good shape and has it stuck in mediocrity heading south. Nothing...

Re: A Slow, Painful Death

It would be interesting to get a few sentence answer, from everyone here, on what the deal was with ISU this season. I believe this was (not everyone but from a collective perspective) an emotionally immature team. Couldn't handle adversity. Bred a lack of confidence. Talent not the issue. Ultimate...

Phil says the cupboard is full, and ISU will be fine next year.

Full of what?
I was thinking the same thing. It's probably full of re-fried beans and all the other stuff nobody wants to eat.

Re: Out Coached and Out Smarted

I'm just going to throw this out there. Probably obvious but is this team riddled by Malik? He is a cancer and therefore the team doesn't listen or respond to Dan like they should? I'm searching for answers here.. I wondered that too. Especially the way they tried to make him a point guard when tha...

From the pantagraph article when we signed him. He seems well balanced from article and the stats mentioned. Thanks BT! I obviously got it wrong. Looking forward to seeing what he can do next year. As BT said via Jaycee. strong defense, high energy, VERY PHYSICAL. Player comp on this team would be ...

Re: 2019 Interest - based on tweets and follows

For what its worth, Muller isn't currently in the market for a big man as of a couple of weeks ago. Things could change, but he likes what we have coming back for next year on the big man side of things with Fisher, Idowu, Abdou, Taylor, and Jaycee. Interesting article on the shift in recruiting. A...

Re: vs Evansville (in St. Louis), 3/7, 8:30 PM, MVC-TV [FSMW+/NBCSC]

I don't care if we're in a tight game. He needs to spread the playing time around much as possible. You can't burn out Phil and Milik in this game. They have to be rested as much as possible this game if we have any chance of winning 4 in 4 days. I want Rey to play 15 minutes at least, hell even Hei...

Re: Thoughts for this week and going into 2019-2020--HCDM centric

Some good points made...... As much as I want this abomination of a season to be over, I want one more victory to get to a "winning season". As bad as 17-16 would be, I must prefer it to 16-16. I think one change in the staff is inevitable, two coaches leaving is almost as likely. I think they may ...
