Re: Indiana St.

Birds run big time today, James over 200. Defense needs to come up big with a few turnovers to keep Indiana State under 40.

Birds 42-35 Trees.

I think they win out. But not sure that's good enough.

Re: Indoor Facility News

I think the point of the indoor facility was to have a place to practice out of the elements during playoff season.

Re: LB Group .. warning, objects in mirror may be larger than ....

This Jason Harris change is probably not much of a change, he was Jack before, and pretty much will play the same as an OLB. Asked to drop back on occasion. Re: Early workouts

It's sounding like the offense is abusing the defense at this point in the short scrimmage yesterday. Encouraging on one end, but brings questions on the other end. Listening to Deforest in the video from yesterday speak, he basically saying it will make the defense better as they have to go against...

Re: Hancock Southwest Entrance

Not sure. But this topic came up before, this would just finish my desire for Hancock 2.0. Cant imagine it would cost much, and the revenue generated would pay for it in a short period. https://www.athleticbusiness.com/stadiu ... ating.html

Re: Early workouts

This is tough decision making for our coaches in terms of QB 1 & 2. It's all mute if we dont have a second and third receiver emerge. We need receivers that can block too, extremely important for a strong running game. So big kids, we need long guys . I see guys like Biegalsky and Hadden providing s...

Ridgeway must be hovering around 320. I've seen him around town and he's one big boy.. if they can teach him how to stay low, he will be a ton of bricks!

Per Coach Spack at the press conference, Ridgeway is 328.

Re: Early workouts

Looking at the twitter picture day tweets makes me think we must be the tallest team in FCS. Sorting the roster we have 24 players 6'5 or over. That's nuts. For comparison Alabama has 25. Looking at the 2010 ISU roster, there was 4 that height or taller.

Re: Birds Picked 5th in Preseason Poll

I believe in Betherd! Three great running backs. Best Oline in years. I predict we will have a new Cam Meredith situation with a current QB(WR), plus Schnell. Ball control ball control ball control. Keep defense of the field. Need our TEs to stay healthy, seems we are not too deep there. Defense, bi...

Re: 2018 Preseason Press

I'm pretty sure they'll not come out of that grind without key injuries. But they also will come out with enormous experience, so anything we could have gained by them having to play less experienced players to start the season will be lost by then. But I do remember a little game in 2016 by the lak...

Re: 2018 Preseason Press

Not so "Crazy" thought! CSU lost a lot to graduation. Here are CSU'S games leading up to ours, Colorado, Arkansas and Florida. They could easily take us for granted after that gauntlet. And that last one is in Tallahasee! And we are coming off our bye week. Really a lot of good things align for us ...

Re: WOAH!

I understand the playoff implications but at the end of the day the Redbirds need to just play the games and win. I would not take any team for granted and I don't expect Coach Spack will either. This is the first game of the season for a fairly young team and while on paper ISU should win...it wil...

Re: WOAH!

Kolbe is the starter. Davis likely has a big arm which honestly is what Tre had over all others. Tre threw the deep ball effortlessly. None of our guys can likely throw it 50 yards down field without squaring up to do so. Big difference when a guy on the run can do that like Tre. Guessing Davis can ...

Re: Turf Updates

I was comparing the old Reggie to the new Reggie, it's definitely bigger, the old Reggie was a foot short of the 45 yard line, the new Reggie is a foot or so past the 45's.. Also the old Reggie was well short of the hash marks, the new one is almost right even with them.. I'm guessing 5-6 feet bigg...
