Re: The List so far 2020

Nice class so far. Hoping we can nab Justin Jefferson - an undersized DE/DL out of Brother Rice Chicago. Has some MAC offers but this kid could be special if we can nab him. There is a lot of D1 level football talent in the Chicago Catholic league...maybe the most in the state? It would be boon to ...

Pantagraph reports that Davis enjoyed his experience. He is very confident in his improved knowledge of the Redbird offense, and in the overall group of receivers. He learned a couple of drills that he will try implementing with the QBs and receivers at ISU.
all positive things. love it.

Re: TE Mitchell Lewis transfer

I guess the key to any offense is balance. What I love about 12 personnel is it spreads the defense out horizontally. It creates that extra gap and forces the defense to play with 8 in the box. Pull a guard and they should really win the LOS numbers game. That in and of itself should open up the ve...

Re: Keith Fisher: Top 40 Impact Transfer

I thought Fisher was a sophomore? No?

Either way I'm looking forward to seeing him play. Hopefully it doesn't take him too long to knock the rust off from sitting out games last year.

I thought the Bulls cut Lemon Jr?
Not sure if he's been cut but he's certainly getting squeezed.

Re: TE Mitchell Lewis transfer

The TE position appeared stocked before the arrival of Lewis but even though Lewis is 6'5 250 Coach Spack doesn't see him strictly as a TE. He could play WR and I could see him being tried in the slot as well. I'd like to see Gillum and Lewis on the field at the same time. That might not be enough ...

Re: Depth Chart

With our front 7 personnel, we should be strong whether we go 3-4 with Jack or more traditional 4-3 in short yardage situations ... we've got size, depth, and some tweeners that can move around depending on whether we go 4-3 or 3-4. I also think we''ve got 3 more things in our front 7 cmpared to la...

Re: Davis at the Manning Camp

Trevor Lawrence is going to moonwalk into the top overall pick in the next draft and possibly be crowned the heir apparent to Andy Dalton or Matt Stafford (Whichever team is worse). If you are part of the Manning camp, you are there for a reason. This is an exceedingly good thing. Any time a player...

Re: Italy Trip, Coaching Assignments, New Offense

i don't keep track of the tone of posters so i can't say what Rico's are. But his post in this thread seems to be of concern over turning over the offense to a guy that has not coached very strong offenses in the past based on stats. I am not sure why Rico should be shredded for being "negative" as ...

too bad for Ricky. hope it's a speedy recovery.

but it doesn't matter according to HCDM. We don't need to use the last scholly and we have plenty of depth everywhere so I'm not the least bit concerned.

Taylor is only doing form shooting and rehab at the moment. I’m hearing he hasn’t missed a beat with the shooting part either. So far team chemistry is a lot better
I still have very high hopes for TB. I hope the injuries are behind him. I still think he can be a really good player.

What I am noticing in both of these thread is that the new guys, Jones and Belcher are going all over the country instead of just specific areas. We've had a ton of Cali/Florida players lately. Nothing wrong with that, just nice to see some spreading out.
agreed
