Re: Bring back the I-Block Logo

The cartoonish version and drones should be in a different thread titled child's play. Don't say "never copy something down the road" when your lacking some major knowledge about our own historic logos. You know not of whom you speak. Our luckiechuckie is well aware of the I-block logo. Most likely...

Re: Bring back the I-Block Logo

(1)Many thought it was Iowa State at first and I had to explain to them that it was Illinois State. (2)I like the Redbird head and Reggie but we do not need the Redbird head logo with Illinois State spelled it on it. The big Redbird head should symbolize Illinois State. (3)Also regarding the I-Stat...

Re: Eastern

CTE liability has clearly scared the dickens out of the powers that be in NY (in all fairness as it should). Are we headed to flag-football? Betting Jack Lambert's two front teeth that it's 50/50.

*OT apologies :hand:

Re: Eastern

Timmy...I really like hearing your perspective, just knowing your extended time in coaching budding football players. Doesn't mean I have to agree with you, but that experience buys a hek of a lot of credibility. I love football but it was not offered as a sport where I grew up, so from a field pers...

Re: OT - Jerry Kill Leaves SIU, to Va.Tech

Wow. Mixed feelings. Too bad for SIU, because that guy was kicking a$$, dollar signs intentional. Morale in that entire athletic program is high tide. Feel like he's also reneging on his word...but...he's leaving the place much better than he found it, that's for sure. I hope his health stays out of...

September 12th

I'm going to start this in basketball and (hopefully it gets rolling...or maybe it won't) then maybe Quinn can move it to off-topic. Sincere question, no games, no politics, no ripping on each other...just perspective. Tell me your 9-11 experience. I'm curious if anyone was there or knew someone who...

Re: Zenger to D-2 New Haven (CT)

Sheahon Zenger will become the AD at the University of New Haven (CT). The reports I'm hearing are he will be tasked with helping them to move up to a D-1 school. Big fan of Zenger. Current AD at KU (former ISU athletic admin and current OU ops man Kenny Mossman was in the final 2 for the KU job) w...

Re: MVFC had a tough night

I'm not real sure about the relevance of a game played 19 years ago but if we want to talk about historical games up north I can tell you that the Redbirds traveled to Dekalb back in 1980 and shocked NIU 28-18. Shocking because Illinois State came into the game with a 1-4 record and it was the only...

Christian Romine has surfaced at Lincoln College and will play there in the fall.
For reference, Lincoln College now offers a four year degree. Good for him!

Also, that donation is great, but it impacts golf....a sport that could win the national title every year and about 20 people would know about. WITHOUT QUESTION i would be one of those sorry 20.
