Re: STATS FCS Football Article - Biggest FCS Games for 2019

Nothing like power football and pulling guards to get me excited about football in June. https://blogs.usafootball.com/blog/6204/check-out-how-north-dakota-state-s-diamond-power-read-has-contributed-to-the-bison-s-success https://blogs.usafootball.com/blog/6888/how-ndsu-built-their-system-around-the...

Re: Wheels... Falling... Off... (And I love it)

At least Marshall didn't "handle it internally". Refreshing to see a coach that actually disciplines his players. “I’m both disappointed and sad, and I’m regretful that I wasn’t able to help Teddy more ,” Marshall said in the statement. “ I'd say he handled it with about as much bullshit as one wou...

Re: STATS FCS Football Article - Biggest FCS Games for 2019

If they beat us it's better. The final result has been better but it isn't a fertile recruiting base that makes NDSU so good. I agree with ISUBU. It's the rabid fanbase they have that makes recruiting easier. demographics and tradition favors them getting the best players in their region. ISU has t...

Which brings us back to the Indooor Practice Facility topic .... it is a difference maker given we play and compete for recruits in upper midwest.
NDSU in fundraising campaign for an indoor practice facility.
In addition to the dome. Must be nice.

Re: STATS FCS Football Article - Biggest FCS Games for 2019

Tnx for sharing the article! Big10 just makes me vomit anymore. I listen and read about the Illini and Smith...and what a freaking waste of everything. The only redeemable thing about the last few years....the Illini has been dirt. I am ready for the Dakotas to start taking a backseat in the MoVall...

Re: "Indoor Facility ... #1 priority" ... AD Larry Lyons

Just curious what other FBS and FCS teams do not have indoor facilities? Good question. Don't have the time to figure it out but I do know this. Column A: North Dakota State, Northern Iowa and South Dakota all play in domes. South Dakota State and Youngstown State have indoor practice facilities. C...

Appears we may have reached out to Greg Foster, Jr. He's transferring from Gonzaga. Originally from Milwaukee. Dad played 13 years in NBA, and is currently an assistant with the Atlanta Hawks. http://www.verbalcommits.com/players/greg-foster-jr 3 years at suburban Homestead H.S. north of Milwaukee....

Re: Where dey go?

Lathrop runs a spirited room. No doubt about it. He pushes hard. But that's better than not pushing hard enough. If football at ISU is too hard for someone I'm OK with saying bon voyage. Maybe it is. But bigger, faster, stronger beats smaller, slower, weaker every time.

With all due respect...Who does Lindgren know in Miami? That guy couldn’t throw a baseball at the broad side of a barn during the Regionals.
No that's NO respect.
Crongrats to Jeff and the others and best of luck. Your hard work payed off. You should be very proud.

Re: Former Redbirds...

Because these two won so much in their illustrious careers? Yes that's exactly why. 28-7 as seniors. 17-1 in conference. They were smart enough to figure out what it takes to win. Wichita State may have had a little more talent but Paris Lee and Tony Wills are absolutely winners at life and at bask...

Re: 2019 NCAA Baseball Tournament

As I watch many of the Regionals, today I have noticed the power conference schools pitching depth really standing out. Schools like ISU are on par with them when able to throw their #1 and sometimes #2... But, when you get into 3,4,5 and the bullpen, it really starts getting clear why these teams ...

We will be in Section 212 You will have a great time. Our group went in 2010 and it was awesome. We were going to go all weekend this year, but didn’t want to break our boycott of going to ISU events until Lyons is gone. Great win by the birds. Was a heart stopping win today. Looks like Louisville ...

So he'll play for Jerry Azzinaro. That'll be a trip. And I mean that in a good way. He is one cool cat. Runs a 3-4 and likes to 2 gap his nose. Really good clinic speaker. 8-)

Re: 2019 NCAA Baseball Tournament

Birds to play Indiana in Louisville!!! With Louisville vs UIC on the other side of the bracket. There is definitely a chance to get out of this regional. I don't see Louisville losing a game in this regional. They are a dominant team. Won the ACC... I have a bad feeling they could put up 15 runs on...

Re: Offered: Kolton Mitchell, 6’4” PG

I don’t think there aren’t plenty of good reasons to become a Redbird—ISU can sell itself. However, other programs have so many bad things that can be said honestly about our program. Major one being absence of us on the national radar. We are 20+ years removed from a bid with no end in sight. Than...

Re: Illinois State:MVC All-Sports Champion

There are already 2 buildings, water and electric there. The lateral run would be short and doors have locks. This is not a major expense for a department with a $28,000,000 budget. I'm tired of this stuff about student fees. Everyone knows about them from the get go. If you don't want to pay for at...
