Re: Muller's recruiting trip

This is interesting. Dan said he only recruits a select few and spends more time on them. Dana going with a different approach. https://twitter.com/wyattwheeler_nl/status/1151639172530262018?s=21 So you want the first guy who says "Uncle"? I love the philosophy from Dana. He identifies the guys who...

Re: Muller's recruiting trip

Maybe I wasn't clear when I asked about "type" of player. Based on his track record and tenure here at ISU I still don't know how he defines this or what he is looking for. Convict, defensive type player, goes to church twice a week, etc. That type of answer can't be found on some cracker jack webs...

Re: Offensive backfield depth

Totally agree on Proctor. He proved himself as a RB in the spring. I don't see him getting 750 yards this season (unless Robinson gets injured) but Proctor could be the man at the position in '20 so let's forget that slot receiver stuff. We have options at the slot. I would start with Grimes. We co...

Those seats will look nice on TV. Will we average more than 5K butts in them though?

Re: Redbird Arena Renovations

My wife and I drove through campus yesterday after getting off I55 to grab our road trip Avantis. Anyone else in the area? You would have seen 100's of kids running around. All of them exposed to Illinois State University. All of them potential ISU students. Track and Cross camp. I laughed out loud....

Re: TE Mitchell Lewis transfer

I guess the key to any offense is balance. What I love about 12 personnel is it spreads the defense out horizontally. It creates that extra gap and forces the defense to play with 8 in the box. Pull a guard and they should really win the LOS numbers game. That in and of itself should open up the ver...

Where can we find your podcast?

Re: The List so far 2020

There is a lot of D1 level football talent in the Chicago Catholic league...maybe the most in the state? It would be boon to get a recruiting pipeline into that conference. However like just about anything and everything it is always easier said than done as they big boys are also targeting that co...

Re: The List so far 2020

Nice class so far. Hoping we can nab Justin Jefferson - an undersized DE/DL out of Brother Rice Chicago. Has some MAC offers but this kid could be special if we can nab him.
