Re: Jefferson Transferring

Weird. Last week he was the athlete that called me to thank me for my support of the WSF! Pretty standup guy to do that knowing he was leaving. I wished him luck for a great season next year and he seemed positive about the future. I had seen the earlier thread but wasn't feeling rude enough to ask ...

He has earned a scholarship in my opinion. Hope that happens and he stays. He’s a solid contributor and has the type of character this team needs.

Re: Kindred discusses Donewald era

: It is funny to me that I read somewhere here a put down on the program because we "fired a final four coach". Like you pointed out jbird, there was a strong consensus at the time that Porter needed to go, but now some trying to find fault with our admins is contorting to say now firing Porter is a...

Re: re: Kindred discusses Donewald era

The Donewald era was during my on-campus time. Lamb, Malaine, Tyus, H.Cornley, Zwart, Duncan, Johnson, McKenny, Stefanovic, Anderson, Braksick, Sanders, Holifield, Taphorn, etc. Good run. Not to mention, outside of Thomas, all of Bender's tournament team contributors were Donewald players as well. ...

I agree. He seems to have to passion that this team really struggles with.

Re: Another Redbird on the verge of 1000

What all the rest of you said and more. There is not a classier guy around. He has certainly seen a lot. The only person I ever heard of who didn’t love Dick Luedke was Bob Donewald. That’s a badge of honor right there! Seriously....what a gift we have in one of the best play-by-play guys in college...

Former season ticket holder for both football and basketball here. No longer am one as I moved out of state. If I still lived in Morton would I still be a season ticket holder for either sport? Probably not. The observation that the 20 year absence from the NCAA is on target. Yes there have been so...

Re: Tinsley

Tinsley reminds me of Tony Wills! He isn’t flashy...but brings more to the table than to the eye! He can pull down a good amount of boards! OMG, you can’t be serious. Wills: glue guy, defensive scrapper who’d do whatever it takes. Decent driver to the bucket and good rebounder. Contributed solidly ...

Re: Tinsley

He has so much talent. Or does he? Timmy yes I would say he does have talent. I believe he needs to learn that driving to the lane is his game not the 3. At the Loyola game last year he drove hard and missed throwing down a huge dunk. Even though he missed that gave him confidence. I think the new ...

Re: vs. BYU 11/28/18

I think it’s so funny that Phantom and V Boy and others rip on this forum and shit talk non-stop about the team and HCDM. According to them the ISU b-ball team is nothing but a “cold fart” and a .500 team at best and will be in the bottom half of the MVC. Well maybe we can all rip on you guys for a...

Good news they can still get an at-large bid as long as they go 24-3 through the MVC tournament finale (29-5)
On our way!
Sadly, that still wouldn’t get an at large.
Based on the parity seen this year so far , it probably would. Particularly given SOS.

Everyone gets 5 years to play 4 years.
Unless you are Zach Lofton.....then you get 7 years to play for six different teams....or something like that......

Re: Elijah going pro

I think he could average 13 next season and 19 by 2019-20. That'll get him to be a first rounder as a 6-4 kid that can drive at will. He could have been a nice college player. NBA first rounder? Sorry. No way. Good luck to him. $65,000 per? Get your degree son. Amen. If Jalen Brunson and KBD aren’t...
