Re: Signing day

I'm not concerned about not having signed any recruits yet. There are still a lot of pieces out there to fall into place across the NCAA landscape, such as where transfers end up and who stays or pulls out of the draft, as that can have a cascade effect as well. I am a little concerned that we haven...

Re: College Basketball Coaching Carousel

I'm really surprised Moser got an offer from SJU. I was going to post how there was no way he'd be a serious candidate, and didn't get around to posting it, so what do I know? Will confess now. Moser has been a head coach 15 years, including UALR, ISU and LU. He's been to the postseason 3 times in ...

Re: Jefferson Transferring

On the flip side MoSt has FOUR TIMES the budget we have for men's basketball. That'll get Dana in front of players substantially more than Dan. Four times. Man. Where are you getting this? I’m pretty sure Missouri St doesn’t have a $10mm/year basketball budget. Wichita’s is like $7mm and pretty sur...

When Muller gets an Illinois recruit 3⭐️ Or better come talk to me. Until then ramble on. It’s exciting Times at ISU beating out Detroit and Kennessaw State for recruits. https://n.rivals.com/content/prospects/2016/matt-chastain-141006 Let me guess. He doesn’t count? I like Chastain. And it’s no secret that a fair amount of the Redbird faithful cannot stand gregggggy. And consensus here seems to say that Dan is a great guy. Question #1 Who would you like as your next door neighbor? Question #2 Who would you like as your head coach? Q#1 - Kate Upton Q#2 - Izzo  :text-+1:

Re: OT: Beer

Maybe you guys are right, but I have a hard time believing that $7 beers will make our attendance jump from 4-5k a game to 7-8k a game if every thing else is even. I just don't think there are thousands of "fans" or people out there that thinks "man, I'd go to that ISU game tonight, but no beer so ...

Say what you will about the Illini but selling beer at redbird and Hancock would increase attendance of casual fans, and turn it into something folks who dont have a rooting interest in the birds would want to attend.

Re: D1 Transfers of Interest

I thought his name was Mike. Can't remember the younger brother who is transferring's name, but he was highly ranked as a high schooler at one time, but fell off after his Junior season. Tim is the younger brother leaving GCU and Mike was the older brother who transferred in to GCU from U of I. Tim...

Re: Vidette - Student Attendance

My kids defied genetics and scored really high on standardized tests. That’s the only reason I feel like ISU is beneath them. Because they have qualified to go to “better” schools with higher average acceptance scores. I think the piece of paper argument is sound for places like State Farm. They di...

Re: Gassman

There is a remote chance that Isaac will still be a Redbird next year. The way this happens is if we happen to have someone transfer out. This is what I'm hearing from my source. He just entered his name in the transfer portal if someone doesn't transfer. Does this mean he will stay if he can have ...

Re: Elgin on MVC Scheduling

I agree on several points. Dan has always said he doesn't like buy games and wants home and homes. That is nice and dandy, but very seldom is a power school going to do that. Yes - I know the ole miss story... However - What does it hurt to go play at Kentucky, Kansas, Michigan St etc? You may get ...

Re: Money Madness: AP analysis shows growing gap in NCAA payouts

Guys - We have Karl Malone... I mean Keith Fisher... Rumor is Dan already submitted his 1st place MVC vote, and ISU expects NCAA revenue upwards of 300 Million, thus Lyons can finally build his Indoor Practice facility he has promised. LOL this will be deleted, but one of the best posts I’ve seen. ...

Nobody talking about Darrell Browns lack of respect towards phil?

Why talk about someone who is pouting!!
It's really what it is too. I'd love to see the MVC do well and Phil keep coming back at him periodically on twitter.

I believe we have been in on Indrek Sunelik (#24 in the photo) and Tanguy Touze(#11 in the photo) pretty heavily. I think I also heard they have a couple of 7 footers for the next couple of years recruiting classes.

Re: 2019 - Francis Okoro, 6-9/225, C, Normal Community West HS

Should be m would be cool if he decided to transfer to ISU with the emergence of Bol Bol. Bol Bol will be going pro after this year, so the starting spot should be up for grabs again next year. He averaged about 19 minutes down the stretch, so I don't see him transferring anywhere. That said if he ...
