Re: So how are we feeling now?

Just some random thoughts I don’t get picking on Evans. He was and is a class act. He never recovered from the injury his Jr year. But he never quit and represented the University well. Won’t miss Milik. Just too much baggage which was a shame given his talent. I like what’s occurred with the coach...

Re: So how are we feeling now?

You all are so desperate for improvement (me ,too), that you’re grasping at the tiniest pebble to give a glimmer of hope. This is basically a team full of unproven talent. You’ve been forewarned. You're a cup half-empty kinda guy, huh? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk Ha! Yep. Being a Redbird f...

Why is this even a story on the Redbird site? We’re now living vicariously through assistant coaches that were here for what...2 years ?

How has an incoming freshman earned that "bone" over the walk on? Have either shown ISU anything besides what they do in high school? Maybe we shouldn't give freshman scholarships at all?
In that case, might as well just turn this program into an intramural squad.

The fact of the matter is that our US News’ ranking has slipped. A few years ago, I think we were 150...now in the 175 range. Say what you want about Fiske and US News’ ranking’s but perception typically becomes reality. Perhaps we need a special department to focus on creating a better “relationshi...

Re: Antonio Reeves to ISU

If Reeves can defend he will play a lot as a Frosh. He will instantly be one of the best shooters on the team. And he’s big enough to score around the rim. Really quick release and soft touch 8 feet in. Gotta get in the weight room and work on lateral quickness. He reminds me of Tyler Brown. Maybe ...

Not going to apologize for tempering my expectations. Hoping for the best, but I’ll believe in these signings when I actually see them produce in a regular season game.

Re: Ricky Torres

He looks like a nice addition if he can play immediately. Pass first PG I hope based on his shooting % at Wichita last year. I hope this expectation is clearly set - we will already have enough guys who will chuck it up at their leisure. He shot it well in junior college. Maybe last year was an abe...

Re: "Indoor Facility ... #1 priority" ... AD Larry Lyons

I just like the way the ISU administration has improved the university, doing it the right way with academics as the foundation, when on the flip slide NIU has pimped their football program while the university collapses beneath them. And the sad thing is, to listen to their fans they feel they sho...

Re: John Beilein leaving Michigan

So the guy's 66, making 3.8 per and living in Ann Arbor. His deal there takes him to 22-23. They love him there. He's already had double bypass surgery. So he chucks that to move to Cleveland and take over that shit show with about a 14% (Zion) chance of getting to average in the 5 years of his con...

Also, with all the talk (and nonsense) of players leaving, is there any chance we actually fill one of our four scholarships?
Oh don't worry we will find a diamond in the rough. Like we did with kaza keane

Re: Change is not a bad thing.

As the other ISU sports (men and women) are growing and making their respective NCAA dances, it is ok for the Men's program to change and reevolve. NCAAMB is becoming an unruly beast. Due to rule changes and any dedication to the school and program that are signing in the signing period are a thing...

Never said a bad word about him, but he’s a big boy playing D1 hoops in (what used to be a great conference). Unfortunately, it’s life.

Re: WTF? Is this true?

It's an upgrade. I wouldn't call it waves. You don't take a demotion like these guys unless there is a reason. We hired two guys about to be unemployed. They need to get players fast. This roster isn't winning anything right now. You said a mouthful. :text-+1: :text-+1: :text-+1: And unless Belcher...
