Anybody use a TV and ESPN3 to watch the game at the tailgate? I thinking about doing it for homecoming. What do you think the delay is? 30 seconds or 3 minutes?
Thanks

You mean sit in the parking lot and tailgate during the game? I Think Hancock outlawed that in 2013.

Sidenote - just a heads up - the lots open a little later for night games. At the Butler game and SIU game (last year) lots opened at noon.CCRedbirds wrote: ↑Tue Sep 26, 2017 3:38 pmFrom ISU Website:

On topic - I haven't watched a game like you are doing (right outside the place it is being played at), but I would have to think it is pretty close.
I was trying to listen to the audio play by play via goredbirds.com at the Missouri State game. There was enough delay that I stopped. Different from live radio.ThisIsTheLineup wrote: ↑Tue Sep 26, 2017 7:27 pmSidenote - just a heads up - the lots open a little later for night games. The homecoming game will also be broadcast on NBC Sports Chicago so it may be blacked out in the area on ESPN3.CCRedbirds wrote: ↑Tue Sep 26, 2017 3:29 pmAnybody use a TV and ESPN3 to watch the game at the tailgate? I actually fully agree with this. When new Hancock opened, I got 8 tickets on the new side for the first game. I brought a bunch of my college friends to play Weibring Golf club in the AM then tailgate and then see the game. I went in first to scope it out, but found out that 5 of the guys decided to not come in because they were having fun tailgating. If you want to be real pissed, they spent the time watching Big 10 football on a TV in the truck before leaving at halftime and going to Pub.
I'm all for shutting down tailgating more than 10 min after kickoff unless the game is sold out.

Don’t worry some of my 25 person tailgate are going to the game just not all of us.
Have the 'Birds been televised on anything other than ESPN3? i thought that last year there were several games on either Comcast/Chicago, FoxSports Midwest or ESPN Collage Extra. Then, I thought that the offseason announcement of the enhanced partnership with Learfield Communications would guaranty that we would have at least as much television exposure as we did before that announcement.
