Every year we get our hopes up only to be dashed by losing at least one key player...TIRED OF IT!!

Every 7 years I stare at the moon blocking the sun and I get spots in my eyes...TIRED OF IT!

Every day I eat DP Dough for lunch...NEVER TIRED OF IT!

Curse continues. This will give him a chance to be a 5th year grad transfer. And we can all wonder how he can get an ISU degree, but can't pass a freaking community college course.

What I do not understand, is why this information comes out sooo late????? Would we not have known his grade situation in April or at least May??? Who does not know what their grade situation is??? There needs to be more explanation.

WELL BLEEP ME IN THE BLEEPIN BLEEPHOLE!!!

Umm, sorry.

He was going to really be counted on for scoring. He could have been our leading scorer this year. Big loss. No practice time. That's what really hurts. What does a kid do for an entire season, basketball-wise, when he can't practice with the team??? Romine, for example, while he hasn't played much and not at all last year...this is his 3rd active year with a D1 program. That's a lot of experience and a lot of court time with good players. Copeland will now miss a crucial year of that, entirely.

Two choices. He can screw around for a year and end up leaving. Or he can get every bit of tutoring and assistance that our department offers and come out of this a decent student, a better person, and be the leading scorer on a top MVC team. I hope the kid comes out on top.

I respect how Dan has covered for him publically, but man, the ball got dropped. This one's almost shocking.

Copeland and Fayne combo, the in and out, could have been electric. Copeland's ability not only to shoot, but to get in the lane and Fayne's knack for finding himself in the right position in and around the lane...man. So much for totes adorbs.

Well, I'm not big on The Gas (although I sure do like the kid), but now's his chance. If he's a competitor, I'm sure there's a part of him that's excited.

that is funny

all said I support Muller with his attempt to try and bring in major D I conference type players to our falling mid major conference. Muller has to beg, borrow and steal to get talent to ISU given ISU's conference affiliation so with that comes this type of fall out. Alternatively ISU can have a coach like the SIU Salukias that works the system via playing a weak schedule, recruiting less risky players yet he is slowly driving the SIU hoop program towards the bottom of the MVC. ISU has a good coach and needs to lock him up before it is too late.

Another setback for the program. One step forward and then one to two steps back. At least the conference is crap now so we should be ok record wise. The season starts in March anyway since the Valley's days of multiple bids are gone forever.

interesting comment...I wonder what will happen during this year? Taking a year away from hoops and being a full time college student will be a challenge given that academics have not been a priority in his past. He has already failed twice to qualify for Division 1 athletics so what are the odds that he gets it done this year?

I am an idiot on these things, but if the issue is he needs one more class, why can't he be eligible after first semester?

He can't practice and is not on scholarship per NCAA rules can't use the weight room are any of facilities with team. I don't think we are that bad to have someone start the season brand new in December and play

Better question is how in the hell can you not get the grades needed in summer school?!?!?

Basically, all you have to do is fog the mirror to get "C's". Yeesh!!

Lol. Never even seen him play D1, and you have Copeland as Kyrie playing alongside Fayne as our Lebron. Imaginations running wild again on this forum. If he's that good, he'll be better in a year and 2 years from now.
