Flights on Frontier departing 9/21, returning 9/23 are $161 right now. Frontier is a discount airline so that price doesn't include seat assignments or bags - total will run more like $200. Airbnb shows lots of accommodations available in old town Ft. Collins next to campus so walking to tailgate & game is doable. Looks like another football road trip to a beautiful part of the country that won't break the bank.

Make sure you go to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park while you are there. go up Big Thompson Canyon to get there. Look for the Hotel that inspired "The Shining".

Was there in 2015. awesome place. We had Moose walk right past us in the grass in front of the hotel. very cool. the hotel is awesome

beautiful state.

wish i could go to the game. was planning on it. But my wife's cousin is getting married in Austin Labor Day weekend. not a bad consolation prize.

Ft. Collins (and Colorado in general) has some great breweries. I'd move there in a second.

Thanks for the pointer toward Estes Park - didn't realize it was so close to Denver/Ft. Collins. I'm zeroing in on the Emerald Lake Trail for a morning hike, but still searching for an afternoon hike. Any advice appreciated.

I think CSU lost a ton on O - Stevens the QB, Dawkins their RB and their top WR (who caught 100 passes). Also I think 4 of 5 OLs lost and their Long Snapper.

It's going to be a great trip! Thursday thru Saturday in Colorado for hiking, recreational weed and Redbird football. Fly into Phoenix on Sunday morning to watch The Beloved take on the Cardinals. Fly to Vegas on Monday morning to bet MNF, play craps and party with 22 year old single mothers with daddy issues. Fly home Thursday, unless I'm winning at the craps tables... in that case, fly home Sunday. Isn't America great?

A good buddy of mine is getting married that weekend... I am not in the wedding, but he's a good friend. Preventing me from making the trip... none to happy about it either.

I guess pissed at guys who do fall weddings, but I did the same last fall on opening weekend of CFB, so I don't have much room to complain.

I have really been looking forward to this trip for a long time. That said, now that we're expecting a visit from the stork this summer, things are up in the air. Only been to Colorado once, but had a great time.

Has anyone made hotel reservations yet? Will there be an “official” ISU hotel? We are looking into booking things pretty soon. Looking forward to the trip.
