with 31 games 1 had to be a d2 team since our MTE is 3 games and not 4. only way to get 31 games was to have a d2 team. it was expected. since Belmont is not Baylor Norfolk better be Michigan state.

Illinois State's 2018-2019 schedule:

1. vs Florida Gulf Coast Eagles (Q3) on November 6th (End of a H&H)
2. @ Belmont Bruins on (Q2) November 10th (Start of a H&H)
3. vs Chicago State Cougars (Q4) on November 13th (Buying them)
4. MTE Georgia Bulldogs (Q2) one November 19th (Tournament)
5. MTE Clemson Tigers (Q1) or Akron Zips (Q4) on November 20th (Tournament)
6. MTE Creighton Bluejays (Q1), St. Bonaventure Bonnies (Q2), Boise State Broncos (Q2), or Georgia State Pounce (Q2) on November 21st (Tournament)
7. vs Lindenwood Lions on November 24th (D2 -- buying them)
8. vs Brigham Young Cougars (Q1) on November 28th (End of H&H)
9. vs San Diego State Aztecs (Q1) on December 1st (MWC/MVC Challenge)
10. @ Illinois-Chicago Flames (Q4) on December 5th (Third game of a four game series)
11. vs Ole Miss Landsharks (Q2) on December 8th (End of H&H)
12. vs Cleveland State Vikings (Q4) on December 16th (Buying them)
13. @ Central Florida Golden Knights (Q1) on December 21st (Start of H&H)

Muller was contemplating a buy game vs a P6. I guess he decided against it. Good schedule but disappointing that 12th game is not a P6. That's my only knock on the schedule is the 12th game. Why three games buying an opponent? Disappointing. It's like Muller found his inner Tim Jankovich.

Yeah except Jank would never have scheduled 1, 2, 8, 11 or 13. Don’t be ridiculous.

It’s a great schedule. Beat Georgia and it’s absolutely fantastic.

Well.... I would call this schedule far from disappointing. I was really hoping for P5 buy game but that's fine. I think it is very possible to go 10-3 in this non-con, with losses to BYU and UCF, and the drop a game in Cayman.

Looking back at last season, as a season ticket holder, I was very disappointed with the home schedule (Quincy, Charleston Southern, UIC) now those teams have been replaced with SDSU, BYU, Ole Miss, and FGCU. A yawn goes toward Lindenwood and Cleveland State but I think it is a very good, balanced schedule that will challenge our guys a lot the first two games, then through the MTE, then again with the BYU/SDSU stretch and finishing at UCF is going to be tough.

Can't wait for NOVEMBER

Most of those were scheduled before this season. He got UCF and Belmont so not exactly Jank but no buy game?! A lot of crap he cluttered in there. Not impressed with THIS OFFSEASON scheduling process.

Props to Muller I’m putting together a really intriguing noncon home slate. Not to pick, but I would like to have seen a two for one or buy game against a prestigious team from say the Big 10, Big 22, or ACC. Either way, very good schedule And regardless of how it impacts our chances to make the tournament, it’s a huge improvement over the crap that was Jank’s Schedule.

Is that 2 Q4 games? Not sure where Chicago or Cleveland rank but I'm sure it's not high. This could hurt come at-large time even if they win both games.

With scheduling both Muller made Georgia a must win game. If they lose to Georgia and have face Akron that's going to be bad.

People will seriously bitch about anything. Sick of it.

Great schedule. We'll be ready for MVC play, unlike some other teams I see...

If I've said this once, I've said it 1000 times. I put zero faith in the committee to grant Illinois State an At-Large bid. If we go 13-0 it will be "yeah...but they played Chicago and Cleveland State....they should have gotten bought by Kansas and Nova." Same goes for if we go my predicted 10-3. It was talked about last tournament its not how you do in these quadrant games.... at the P5 level, its how many you play. We could go do what Texas Southern did a few years ago and get bought for every non-con game, play 10-13 Q1 games, and be more considered than with the schedule we have.

Win in STL and never leave it up to chance.

Again, as a season ticket holder, I love this home schedule for the most part. I do not believe my season ticket price went up. 7 non-con home games this year versus 5 last year. These 7 are better than those 5.
