Wow! Go ramblers! All in, feels so much better cheering for them instead of Wichita. Always felt a bit off when I would root for Wichita.

YYEEESSSS!!!!!

This is awesome! Only way I could be happier is if this was US in the S16. So happy for Porter, their team and their fans. They played their asses off against a huge, physical, athletic TN team and took it right to 'em. Didn't lose their cool in the final minute and got a hell of a shot at the end.

Great for Loyola, the Valley and mid majors in general.

This is GREAT!

Congrats to Loyola. Great team. Happy for them. I work with a Loyola grad and she was so happy yesterday. Even happier today I'm sure.

Love this for their fans. Go Ramblers and enjoy the well deserved national pub the next 4 days.

Tennessee lost to yet another team from the Valley in the NCAA tournament. The Vols must feel they are jinxed every time the brackets come out and an MVC team is lined up across from them in the first or second round.

Great for Loyola and the Valley! No one saw this coming. Reminds of UNI a couple of years ago. I wonder how could they will be next year. I am guessing they will be solid but they do lose Ingram, Jackson and Richardson as key players. Hope they can keep it going. Porter seems like a decent recruiter. Isn't he the one that recruited Osiris?

Some people did see this coming....I picked Loyola into the Sweet 16, but before I pat myself on the back too much, I also thought Wichita would figure it out and I had them going a long way.

Great win for the conference. We get a lot of bad pub even from our own fans, and don't always meet the eye test, but our teams win games in the Dance. Fantastic finish.

What is the MVC record against the SEC over the last 10 years? It must be pretty good. Our Redbirds seem to beat virtually all SEC teams.

This can be us!

And to think, if Loyola had lost the MVC tournament title game, they would probably be in the NIT right now thanks to not having enough "quality wins."

I probably should clarify -- I don't think anyone saw this coming preseason. I certainly didn't expect Loyola to be as good as they are especially winning the conference with a record similar to ISU's last year and also as tournament champions. They didn't blow out teams in the Valley too often but consistently won like the Birds last year.

Does it make anybody else a little sick to see Moser in the sweet 16? Look, I’m happy for ‘em, but it burns a little thinking we haven’t even made a tourney.

Happy for Porter ... much better coach than he was ten years ago.

I thoroughly enjoyed Frank Martin & Candace Parker continually banging the Tennessee drum during pregame and halftime and having to deal with Rambler heartburn afterward.

And if UMBC would not have hit a basket at the buzzer in their conference championship game against Vermont, there would be no UMBC in the NCAA Tournament, and no #1 falling to a #16

Not one bit. Why would it? Because ISU told him to go away?

I LOVE this Tournament. Exactly the way it should be. Upsets are what make it "The Dance." When is the NCAA going to finally submit to that?! Ugly girl gets to The Dance, she's not 'supposed' to be there, but ugly girl wows 'em with a few cha-chas and suddenly she becomes the darling of The Dance. The most beautiful girl on the dance floor.

Dammit, NCAA!! It's what makes the dance The Dance!! WAKE UP!!!

Congrats to the ugly girls/darlings this year! Magical!!!

Great win Loyola!!!! Good job - you deserved to win!!!!!! The problem is - the powers to be see this as BAD. A non-P5 will get more money for advancing - period. Why the New York exec's who know nothing about basketball - will view it as a ratings nightmare. Thus, the discussion - as any liberal does - how can "we" make sure this does not again."

You should have saw Jay Bilas talking about these mid majors winning, especially UMBC. He looked like someone kicked his puppy.

The coach on the panel last night made a very good point. He said the Valley has a lot of juniors and seniors that stick with the program and become much better players. We see this every year with the "Cinderella" teams in the Dance.
