I really still think EC is our PG next season.
Agreed
The fact that Dan didn’t address point guard with this signing suggests he feels the point guard is already on the roster.

I believe Copeland will be the point, although it looks to be somewhat by committee (Key, Cope, and J-Jeff and a backup, whoever that is) as well...and I don't think thats necessarily a bad thing

Why do any of you think Keyshawn Evans, our star point guard, will not be our point guard next season? I realize he shoots more than what you'd expect a Paris Lee traditional PG to do, but why on earth would you not want to have Keyshawn (shooting PG) on the floor with Copeland (scorer), MY (All around best player), Phil Fayne (Scoring rebounder) and David (rebounding defender).

I like the idea of EC getting major minutes at PG, but I don't understand why you would have ANY starting combination that does not involve Evans, Copeland, MY and Fayne... ever.

I’m still not sure why the consensus is Gassman > Hein. I hope 🤞🏾 they both return, but if choosing today I think Hein brings more to the table. Poor guy can’t shake a couple of bad plays; MY had 126 league-leading bad plays (5th in all NCAA) nobody brings that up. Someone said Chastain pays his own way? I haven’t seen him play since high school, but that guy gets a scholarship.
Welcome Mr. Jefferson! #RBFL even if you make the mistake of transferring.

I love the signing. 40%+ from 3 works for me. I don't agree San Antonio. Hein just does not pass the eye test with me, but Gassman does. Any signing that reduces Hein's minutes, IMO, makes us better. If Hei stays, I hope he becomes what Todd Kagel did many years ago. He became serviceable by his senior year.

Hein showed a ton of growth. If he can keep improving like did them he will be a key member the rest of his time here. Kid plays with heart and gets on the floor for balls. Easy to forget but this year was his first real action since he left high school.

I fully agree Hein did show a ton of growth, but he could not even bring the ball up last season, so he had a very low starting point. I suspect he shoots 33% from the field, another 33% hit the rim and the other 34% are air balls. The good news about many of the air balls is Fayne started to expect them and put them back in.

Hein needs another quantum leap forward for him to contribute regularly and for us to get better.

Thanks for the video. Kid looks good, but the video has been altered and sped up about 15%-20% faster than real time to make him look quicker than he actually is. I hate when they do that.
Say what?
You can just look at the shot clock and tell it's not sped up. It's just a fast violin. That's called talent (both fields)
Look at the fans in the stands....especially after the 1:37 mark and going forward. It's apparent. People don't move their heads, hands, etc. at that speed.

Still don't see it. What does the field say?

Have you guys noticed overall it's 50/50 with jc transfer's I was amazed how many schools recruit them and not really play them Wichita State signed the top rated jc player and he played very little even JJ visited Evansville and they didn't offer. Is high school players the best route?

I would be thrilled to get up to a 50% hit rate on Dan’s recruits.

How do you speed up the people in a video but not a clock? Just asking?

I'm with you, I don't see the speed up. I think you were right the first time, the fast violin is playing tricks.

It's not the entire video, but certain clips. It's subtle, but it's there.

Wouldn’t you have to speed up just one guy, for the advantage to be perceptible? Doesn’t he have to look faster relevant to others? Or find video of him playing against me. That would make him look lightening quick.

Nope. Not by a long ways. Boo, Slack and Dom were all top 100. Tinsley was #54.
