I think it's crazy that we have not one but TWO Redbirds that have now debuted in the NBA for the first time in 37 years and nobody seems to care.

Does Jank get the credit for recruiting either of these guys?

Sorry but I have little use for a pampered narcissist who stabs the back of the people who had his back. Or the suckholes of the world who leech off of them for their own weird feelings of self worth.
Do your job and transfer? Fine. Screw over your coaches and teammate's and you're not a former Redbird IMO. Redbird 4 Life means something to me. 😌
I just want to clarify: would you consider MiKyle and Teddy former Redbirds? Nick Ziesloft? What about Zeke Upshaw?

I was glad for Zeke when he left for Hofstra, got PT, and played amazing. If not for a tragic loss, I think we could have seen him continue to grow and work his way up to the Pistons, even if for a cup of coffee.

I never had any attitude problems with MiKyle, Nick, or Zeke. However, they did all leave. What about Milik? His rash of bad decisions has really hurt his team.

if you leave the program to play for another D-I school, you are no longer a Redbird!! Fact is a fact....I you leave due to injury or family problems, take a year off and see if ISU could take you back that is life. Milk would of lead this team to a conference championship, but no, didn't think ISU was good enough to get him drafted. So he is no longer to me and many others a Redbird. Nice guy or not....just a school and now team hopper.

Mikyle is the starting PF for ANYANG KGC (South Korea)

Through 4 games he’s averaging 18.5 ppg 8.0 boards per game and 2.0 assists per game.

Way to represent The Redbirds Mikyle!!

And yet the athletic department has pretty much said you're RB4L from the moment you begin your career at ISU . . .

So Jaelyn Keene goes to UAB to play Beach Volleyball, she's no longer a Redbird?

So what do you think of players that have played at other places and then transfer to ISU?

I agree if they have done their work and left on decent terms good for them.

Not a good story on a former Redbird.

Sounds as if they believed the coach before Roland got a chance to present his side, but maybe one punch could've been sufficient.

Wearing shoes to practice is also a plus.

This is Roland's mother. She claims not all of the facts have been reported. Primary source story is from Jeff Goodman (formally ESPN) with Stadium who directly quoted Roland in the article. If there were any additional facts that need to be reported I figured that would have been the place to do it.

So Mom shifts blame by claiming that the first year assistant coach "didn't learn [Roland's] behavior style"?

Best of luck to him and his family in the real world. Sheesh!

I get ya. I was thinking two, maybe three at most. But fighting about study hall??? That doesn't seem worth it for either of them.

Remember he was suspended before Supersectional game for fighting. Violating Athlete code of conduct was probably the reason he didn’t go to prom https://www.mysuburbanlife.com/2015/03/ ... qa/?page=2
