Guys like Gass, Hein, and Chastain should be seeing the court only if we're up by 15+. Guys like Milik, Phil, Key, Boogie need more minutes to develop physical and mental endurance.
Though I agree the rotation needs to be cut, I am not sure where. Have you watched the first two games? Or the exhibitions before that? Gassman is a very good bench player. Hein makes mistakes, but often makes up for them with hustle plays that no one else on the team makes. Chastain came off the bench cold and hit two three's against Belmont and didn't come back in.

All three of the players I just mentioned were more helpful than Milik and Boogie during the Belmont game. The team as a whole is struggling. Muller is at a loss because the talent is there to be a team that goes 10 deep. The issue comes up when the buy in is not there from at least 4 of what should be your top 6. Instead of pointing figures at guys who are doing things the right way, maybe take a look at why Gassman, and Hein are getting more pt. Look at Boogie, Jefferson, Copeland and Milik. If those guys played the way they are expected to, you could be right that Gassman and Hein are mop up guys. But right now, they are some of our best players by committing to both sides of the ball. I thought the same for Chastain and didn't understand why he didn't play in the second half.

I would be surprised if Gassman and Hein don't start tomorrow, and if Rey is not one of the first off the bench.

In the season opener we took the lead for good in the first half off of a layup by Gassman, followed by a steal by Gassman where we scored, followed by another steal by Gassman. Kid busts his tail for us and does good things

Hein doesn't make up for anything with anything else. He's simply not a d1 player. You can tell yourself and everyone here otherwise but every single one of you knows inside your head that he just isnt. Sure, keep him for garbage time or whatever since we only have 10 players but that's it. But tell yourself whatever makes you feel better

Let’s see more Rey.
Starting lineup:
Idowu
Chastain
Gassman
Hein
Jefferson
Wouldn't surprise me at all.

I am going to be extremely disappointed in our coaching staff if hein is in the starting lineup. He needs to get the best players in there and make them work together. This is the game to do it. I Have not given up on chastain or the gassman and I think they both have potential. I have seen enough of Hein over 2 plus years and agree with most on this board that he is not a D1 player. Personally I don't think hes even Division three or would he star in intramurals.

I am trying to keep the faith....birds win 86 58.

Crazy thought, but I would play MY the entire game. Run him ragged. Find out where his head is at.

The suggestion of playing Milik ragged the whole game sounds like a great plan. BUT I that would screw up my prediction.

I doubt MY starts.

“He just doesn't compete and he's not coachable. That happened last year a bunch of times. I'll do it again,” said Muller of benching Yarbrough for long stretches.

That’s why we are under performing because of his great hustle! His hustle doesn’t nearly make up for the 3 air balls!

He needs to start tonight and get his head screwed on right before they leave for Cayman Island. They need to win that tournament to have a shot at an at-large bid (and to gain some confidence).
They have an opportunity to get wins against Georgia, Clemson, Creighton?, and @ Central Florida. I don't think they can lose a home game and get an at-large bid unless they win the Cayman Island Classic. So just go out and win three games in Grand Cayman, and not lose any home games.
