Yeah, not gonna check other counties. That seems a little obsessive to me.

Another year of not having the roster we thought we would have. The strategy of recruiting talented kids that we're able to get because of their baggage, risk, etc isn't working. Maybe it's time to start recruiting more players who can stay on the court.

Traffic citations. No excuses. We know what the Normal PD is. He probably won't miss any games. He's not being too smart by not paying his fines and such which caused routine traffic issues to escalate. Another black eye to the program on a national level. I coached 8th grade basketball. One of our team sayings was, "It's not hard to do the right thing." Most of them didn't listen either....
Maybe I'm looking at this the wrong way, but I see a hit and run at 2:27 in the morning that was ultimately reported by the two other people in the car at a later point in time.

If this is true, I'm not sure how this person is capable of leading our team. How could we possibly count on him?

Why would any member of our team ever be driving at 2:27am? We have Uber and Lyft now in BloNo don't we?

Ah...sounds like the classic I was drunk but I'm going to get sober before confessing so I don't get a DUI

The bottom-line: MY put himself in a situation which has brought a lot of negative attention, yet again, to the program.

My questions: was he intoxicated while driving? I would love Saxman's perspective of when someone is issued this specific ticket. Is this a ticket issued to anyone in a vehicle when an accident happens?

Who were the players with him? He is definately a high maintence player. Maybe Dan will have to put an ankle bracelet on him to keep him eligible.

With this year being a year that is supposed to prep him for the NBA, he is not doing himself any favors. you would think he would be more careful not raising any questions about his character.

If he was issued that ticket, which is a Class A misdemeanor, then he was driving. That being said, without a confession or some other way of proving that he was the driver, this would be a hard case for the prosecution to prove.

Interestingly, a hit and run involving injury could be charged as a felony, but was not in this case. That makes me think that the case is a little thin on evidence. Probably two people who are saying that he was driving. Now, if the state wants to proceed on a felony, they'll probably put those two witnesses in front of grand jury to "lock them in" to a statement so that they can't recant later. The state could easily "nolle prose" the misdemeanor and charge Milik with a felony at that point. I would still say that the State needs more evidence than those two "witnesses" though, before proceeding on a felony.

Getting away from the legalities, I'm sick of this crap with this kid. He's a heck of a ballplayer but I'm sick of our players being arrested.

Not much discretion when there's a crash, especially with injuries. Don't blame the PD for his actions.
