Re: Next season

If anyone is close to the program, I wish they would look at Colorado 5th year transfer Tory Miller. 6'9 250 center. Our team had some good height, but not enough bulk to rebound well on the defensive end. I think Rey, our 6-9, 230lb freshmen could really help. I can see him making a big impact on ...

Re: ISU @ Loyola 2/24

COY in the Valley last year would pretty much preclude that from happening. So you’re pretty much farting in the wind. Means nothing if they can’t get to the big dance. Farting in the wind is COY in the MVC and not making the tournament during your tenure at ISU. Means absolutely nothing. I'm guess...

Re: ISU @ Loyola 2/24

If I was DM I would be searching everywhere for a Coke machine like Krutwig. He totally manhandled David and every other ISU player he was next to. This loss was really due primarily to turnovers and no answer for Krutwig. Also, I really wish TB had been available for this game. However, I am still ...

Re: UNI @ ISU 2/17

How sad is it that we are playing for a win to avoid playing on Thursday in Saint Louis? I really wasn't predicting this before the season started. I guess it's wait until next year. Also, could someone please tell DN that if you are 7 feet tall and hold the ball below your waist a small 4 foot guar...

There is no therapy for this. He will not stop doing it until he's incarcerated or deceased. That's the only way it stops.

He's a sick, sick person. He will do this again. 100% guaranteed.
Then he better start liking boys

Welp, I sure hope that is the last we see of him on this board ... or ever, for that matter. Go play ball in Kazakhstan. Don't come back.

Re: vs SIU 2/8

This was David's best game of the season. I am glad to see this as we get near the end of the season. He scored, rebounded, defended and did some things that don't show up in the box score such as deflecting passes, altering shots etc. Hope we get Fayne & Evans back soon. Clarence is still a mystery...

Re: @Missouri State - 1/30/18

DDD. We need some high energy and smart defense. Our zone D is so much better than our man. The man D just doesn't seem to be getting any better considering the Redbirds are this far into the season. Too many bad switches and missed assignments. Also, not getting into position soon enough to prevent...

I'm not sure this could have gone any better. Just based on Bios: - OC & QB Coach Beathard (edit) .. huge upgrade .. nuff said - WR Coach Anderson .. nice upgrade with his playing and coaching background - OL Coach Etheridge .. slight upgrade with his playing and coaching background - RB Coach Hall...

Re: Favorite Obscure Redbird

Finally, I know its stirring the pot, but I don't care. Nic Moore was the best point guard I have seen here in 30 years of basketball. I loved him and was very sad he left. But he was just here 1 year, so that makes him obscure, right? I agree. Nic Moore is still the best point guard I have ever se...

I have no idea how much credit (and also blame) you can assign a coach, but let's remember it's significant that Muller not only has a lot of players he's breaking into his system this year, but also a pair of coaches on his bench. I'm sure he won't use this as an excuse, but it can't be easy to ca...

Re: Birds @ Bulldogs Wednesday 1-3-18

No mistake about it, our defense played awful yesterday. But of Drake's 15 3-pointers, I would say at least 9 were contested or NBA range. We could have closed out better but Drake was just shooting lights out. Their team 3-point % is 40. Timmer at 48, Woodward at 42, Arogundade at 41. They can sho...
