Re: Evansville vs Illinois State Tix

Until the students show they can fill some more space, I’d take the first 5-10 rows of DD and sell those to the general public. I’d rather they get $10 a pop from 100 more seats being eaten up than see most of the upper bowl in the student section sit unused.

Re: Taste of “Redbirds”?

My concern is not with the name. My family will be there and we’re bringing four guests who are excited for the events for their kids and to try some food. Their only disappointment was when I told them the number of food vendors had dropped down. When they asked why, I said the best thing to do wou...

Re: AD monitors are idiot

To add what Greenlock said, 129,000 Alumni in the state of Illinois. A great majority in Chicagoland. Been to just about every game up here, be it @ Loyola, @ DePaul, @ NW (football / baseball) , @niu (Wbb), etc. Can't remember a post game when a coach didn't say our fans were awesome. That needs t...

Re: MVC Game 10

If Loyola gets to 15 or 16 wins in regular season play and loses in mvc tournament do they get the short end of the stick like isu did last year? Big win is at Florida. Bad loss is at uw Milwaukee. Boise beat them by 34. Even at 18-4, if Boise doesn’t win the MWC, they are getting in ahead of LUC f...

Re: EIU FB cutting one scholarship

1.). Consider a 2nd FBS buy game. The more money you get for it, the better. Call Penn State. Call Nebraska. Call any team you can bus to and offer up a game. If they played at Illinois for $400k and at NW for another $400k, they can bus to both of the games and wouldn’t necessarily have to stay ove...

Re: Birds beat SIU

I kind of pushed back when you brought this up a while back, but it IS hard to believe you couldn't squeeze a few worthwhile minutes per game out of the rest of the bench. Doesn't have to be 20 mpg, but4 or 6 or 8 from each of the "bottom four" of the roster seems like it could be done. The men's t...

Re: MVC #1 vs #8 01/26/18

Officiating...lol. Your comment sounds pretty typical. At times I have started to wonder if people should be replaced by machine in the officiating stage of sports. The officials doing last night’s game were veterans. They are very good at what they do, but I think when they go back and read their ...

Re: MVC #1 vs #8 01/26/18

This was a great effort by this team. They have definitely made progress. A couple thoughts: Keep shooting. When we pass up wide open shots, it hurts if we then take a lower-percentage shot late in the clock. I was happy to see Saylor keep shooting the ball in the first half. I did not feel the offi...

Re: At Northern Iowa 1/24

Working in sales, I either hit my numbers or don't eat or don't keep my job. It's the same for Dan, they don't win, he doesn't keep his job. I can't see him keeping guys that are going to take food off his table. It's different in coaching. You hav to have the available resources to pay off a coach...

Re: New NCAA selection metrics

Porter was raw when we hired him. But surprisingly he was the only current head coach we have hired in a long time. Donewald, Bender, stallings, Richardson, jack, and muller have all been assistants when we hired them although jank did have head coaching experience. Porter was actually more experie...

Re: Bragging on Attendance????

Here’s a solution we can all focus on: if you have an open ticket for Sat, give it away. If you have multiple open tickets, try and find a family who can use them. That way we can get as big of an attendance figure as we can and we won’t have a big difference between tickets sold/given away (revenue...

I was listening. He said he arrived on campus his freshman year and went over to play some pickup ball with the other players. I believe he said Jamar was a freshman too, who he didn't know real well. But in the first scrimmage Jamar was talking trash to the vets right from the get go ... but he ba...

Great job to James this season. He also started the game today. Yes indeed. Hopefully he's found a home in Jax. One more year and he will get his pension. Same with Cam Meredith. I believe Nate Palmer and Shelby Harris have their pension. great for all of them. Unfortunately NFL pensions are very s...

Re: Bragging on Attendance????

You can't beat bbfan's postgame event. It's always a good time. For attendance, after the disappointment vs Charleston Southern and losing to Loyola, plus blowing leads or getting blown out on the road, fans have a lot of games to point to as why they don't want to invest the funds into buying ticke...

one second left in the game, ISU down 1 point, at the line with a one and one opportunity. Your choice shooting the foul shots our D1 Fayne or our wasted scholarship Hein? Faked injury on the foul to bring in Williams , Ndiaye or Bruninga. Both Fayne and Hein are poor FT shooters. They are barely o...

Re: Redbird Arena Renovation

Just sitting causes little wear and tear? Those seats should be mint. also how about rotating the seats from the upper upper bowl. those are probably like new If only that easy, they are different seats. The lower bowl seats have to fold in when the bleachers are retracted. Speaking for someone who...

Re: Brian Anderson- New WR Coach

I hope he completes his classes and makes it here. Even if he doesn't complete his classes and enroll as a graduate student, wouldn't he be eligible for stepping down a division? It sounds more like he needs to bring up his gpa to gain admittance whether it's at the grad level or undergrad as noted...

I think this is the best chance for a 1 or 2 seed to lose in the quarters. I could see a log-jam for the 4-seed where the last team on criteria gets the 7. That team pulls off a win over the 10 seed and then beats the 2 seed.

I wonder how much a strong liquor liability policy would cost. I'm guessing certainly a lot less than the profit on alcohol. There are a lot of people who pay for beer in the RBC room; however, it's hard for some to get there early to games. I see there being thousands and thousands more in profits ...

Missed this earlier .. but this guys is a TE for sure. I wouldn't say TE for sure. 1- He had trouble keeping up TE weight at Indiana. 2 - Someome named Hereiam identified him as a WR on the Recruiting forum. Maybe Fuchs himself? "Jordan Fuchs 6 ft 6 235 wr. Coming in summer Graduate student" I hope...
