Re: @ Missouri St - 3 pm - ESPN3

This team has the lowest basketball IQ of all time. That is the only way we could have lost this one (and many others). They have no concept of how important clock time remaining is and situations when you should never foul. Also, I am sick of seeing passes to our bigs around their ankles.

Re: BETTER

I might believe low 4.5's though ... word that came to mind watching him was "slippery fast. Somebody taught that kid how to run .. very natural runner. FYI ... Tre was low 4.5's. Marshaun was high 4.4's. I had a bet with somebody that Tre was faster than Marshaun ... I lost. Tre looked faster thou...

Re: @ Missouri St - 3 pm - ESPN3

This game, and really the whole MVC season, is a swamp. But a very complex one. A swamp with many political overtones and resonances that can't be fathomed at the present time, but need the distance of the future to give it a perspective so that you can truly have a point of view, and realize the v...

Re: at Drake, 1/30, 7:00 PM, ESPN+

Did not think we would beat Indy St or Drake. Won both by 14. Maybe getting some things sorted. The big 4 seem more confident and Chastain has solidified himself as the other starter. He knows his role on this team and plays it well. Big game Saturday. Might have to go down for it. I am the new pre...

Was Fayne soft again?
He was single-ply today.
I hope he gets back in the groove again.

Re: Nice day yesterday

anyone know if the moat will remain when they update the lower bowl? I heard a truck load of crocodiles was headed this way. They shoulda ordered hippos. They may look cute, but they'll kick the ass of anyone trying to cross the moat, worse than a croc. This whole thing sounds like a "croc".:obscen...

Re: @ Evansville 1/19/19

I am still perplexed by KEY and his ineptness and low IQ and Hein's minutes. I guess one of them has to play, but I hope JJ gets the message and takes a lot of those minutes. Hein has scored 3 points in 6 MVC games. He gave up 3 just in the last 2 minutes of today's game. I know I am preaching to t...

Re: @ Evansville 1/19/19

Another view. And reminds me of Dans layup to beat Tennessee. No flexing. Just running back on D and looking for assignments https://twitter.com/mattmcclain3/status/1086835469797740544?s=21 He just explodes off the floor. His head was by the rim. That is some serious athletic ability. And as you sa...

We missed 15 in a row one day prior
I'm aware. Just pointing out how much they suck more. :)
I just did the math on that. My calculation says they suck 33 percent worse than us..
Whoa, I was told there would be no math on this Board.

Re: Birds @ Loyola

- Fayne was thoroughly dominated. Muller should have had Rey guard Krutwig in first half and tire him out. Then Fayne dominates in 2nd. -Chastain is the beating heart of this team. - Nice to see Evans back. Liked that he was taking it to hole. Still takes a lot of off balance 3s. Again, we have to ...

Something positive. I loved Chastain's slam off a rebound. That should be a great highlight from this game. MVC play of the day?  :D

Re: Tinsley

If being passed by Hein on the depth chart doesn’t motivate Tinsley, then what possibly could serve to inspire him? Tinsley has some nice athletic gifts, but for whatever reason, is not leveraging those to produce results. It’s one thing to be in a shooting slump, but his fall off in rebounding, de...

I still believe in Beathard, and I have zero doubt we were better off than we would have been with Dicken ... but he obviously did not have the impact I touted. Excuses sound weak .. but wondering if he lost some focus during season with his wife getting cancer again. She was getting treatment in s...

Re: Yesteryear

Favorite Redbird? That has to be Doug Collins. I always felt sorry for anyone that had to defend him. He was so fast that if you blinked he was gone and scored an uncontested bucket. He was very entertaining to watch. Another favorite of mine from yesteryear was Bubbles Hawkins. He was smooth as sil...

Re: 2018 recap, 2019 needs ...

So many needs, so little time: Special teams. Especially place kicking. Punt coverage was also very bad resulting in poor field position. Need an outstanding kick returner. Quality linemen. Both OL and DL are only mediocre. This is actually the primary need and where the Redbirds lose. It is so basic...

Re: Season Prediction

Need a juco big, ready to play. And a juco PG ready to play. We need another Reggie Lynch (but without all the stuff that came with him). I just mean a true shot blocker, rebounder and defensive force that changes a players shot angle. Like UCF's Fall. Right now an opposing player has no fears driv...
