Re: 2019 - Chris Payton, 6-7/205, SF, Bloomington, IL

Can I please ask the obvious question as to why a Home-grown kid who verballed ISU....then backed out to test the P5 waters..:.is now taking official visits to Valpo and SIU? Wasn’t the explanation put forth that he thought he might go bigger than ISU? Valpo and SIU are not bigger than ISU. If the w...

Wait... I thought Wichita was above and beyond this league... I think it comes down to us, and Loyola... really want to lock him up before he leaves campus. I would not underestimate Marshall. Loyola would seem to be the favorite. Catholic School. Potentially immediate playing time after cu...

Re: Are we gonna be scary good?

Need some ballhandlers and some playmakers beyond Malik. If Copeland and Jefferson add that dynamic to the team I don’t see how other Valley teams could stop us. Defensively still a lot to prove. We were carved up by Dunk City, BYU and Ole Miss last year. If the on-ball defense isn’t much better on ...

Just listened to mid-major madness interview with Muller. He basically went through entire roster. No mention of Ndaiye. Muller mentioned Josh Jefferson as being the last new eligible player added to the team. That pretty much sums up the situation right there.

Re: Non-Con Schedule

Prognosticators are betting BYU, San Diego St, Central Fla will be on the bubble for at-large. These are the games that are most important to win. They are basically play-in games. We win these games and finish 13-5 or better in Valley I think we have a good shot at at-large. RPI will be in the high...

Pretty large blow if you asked me. But can’t blame kid. Gotta just recruit over it. Hopefully no injuries this year.

Re: 2018-19 MVC Predictions:

I question the person who made the T25's credibility. Later in the comments on the tweet someone said, "No UCONN?" And she responded, "UCONN is not a Mid Major, no team in there league is." The American is not a HM conference. American closer to a high-major than a mid-major. UConn has more nationa...

Re: Never too early... 18-19 Non-conf schedule

This is great. We have to actually win the games. At least 3 or 4 of them. But at least Muller is giving us a shot. Jankovich never did.

Re: Milik

Milik is not point guard.....but he is the person on the team that you want to have with the ball the vast majority of the time. Call it what it is...but he can create for himself and others. He isn't someone who plays well off the ball. He should have the ball in his hands most of the game and he ...

More from a good Grape Vine... right now it is planned that Malik will be our point guard.

On campus and enrolled does not mean eligible to play. Sounds like carefully selected words. My expectations from that would be that he will be a student this year and then a basketball player next year. Just reading between the lines.

You guys are going to like Jefferson's game once he gets acclimated to this level. Just like Will, it'll take some time, but once it clicks he'll be a good one.
He reminds me of a taller version of Kyle Cartmill

So who are the 13 scholly players? 1- Milik 2- Fayne 3- Boogie 4-Keyshawn 5-Copeland 6-Jefferson 7-Elijah 8-Taylor 9-Rey 10-Abdou 11-Boyd 12- Fisher 13-Hillsman. WO:Chastain WO:Gassman WO: Hein. Though Muller didn't speak directly to it, I believe Gassman will lose his and Chastain will stay off sc...

Once people really feel like they have this type of equity in the program is when it can start to take off and the brand c...

Re: Bulletin board material

One team one goal is the only way to beat Loyola. Comparing returning players points scored and rebounds is exactly what Loyola wants our players to think and care about. ISU would probably be better this year if Fayne points dipped and Evans points dipped and Copeland, Tinsley and Clarance were all...

Too bad Illinois State doesn’t have any good players coming in. Hey RedbirdSoxFan (I do love that you like the Sox - I do too).....but do you remember when Jordan and Pippen outscored Isaiah and Dumars for like 4 years in a row in the late 80s/early 90s? It’s kinda like that. Team > Individuals. On...
