Re: 2019 - Marquise Kennedy, 6-1, PG, Chicago Brother Rice

Not a huge surprise. Catholic School kid and Moser and Brian Mullins are leveraging Final Four as we would expect them to. Would have loved to see him in a Redbird uni. Loyola is setting itself up to dominate the Valley for a while. Then we'll be talking about Loyola to the Big East and then we'll g...

Re: Here we go again...

Well that is the type of story I would tell. Questions- 1. Why did other sport athletes get ahold of someone who got ahold of Milik? Maybe some high school connection? 2. Do visiting athletes stay at Marriott? Thought they normally stayed on campus with current athletes. 3. Why after all of his dri...

Re: Committed: DJ Horne

From YouTube videos some of which look a bit dated, looks like average quickness, slow release and set shot, potentially above average ball handling, did not see a left hand, above ave size for Valley PG.

In coaches we trust. Hope he turns out to be a good one.

Re: Conference Schedule

Kind of a rough early schedule. @Valpo and @Loyola first 4 games. Although those teams are not going to look better than some of the teams we see in non-con, which should help.

That last game @SIU could be big for winning league and hopefully finishing strong for at-large.

One game at a time....

Re: College Sports Madness Top 144

If ISU goes 11-2 in non-conf I will be quite pleasantly shocked. Not out of the question, but just about everything would have to go right, including the following: -No one gets hurt -No one is ineligible -Someone emerges to play point guard who isn't Keyshawn or Malik -Someone can block out Tacko F...

Re: College Sports Madness Top 144

have to win the micro valley coop to make the dance.... I think 28-6 makes it if no bad losses (11-2 and 15-3 + 2-1). 29-5 for sure. I think 11-2 non conference is doable and 15-3 in conference is doable. 28-6 to is very realistic. With no bad losses that's an at large bid with their schedule this ...

Re: Ndiaye ruled an Academic Redshirt

I'm not worried about this. Muller already he said he's not sure how all these guys are going to get time. I think this kid is committed to ISU for at least 2 playing years, which is about all you can expect at this point. Next year will be: Copeland Jefferson Boyd Hillsman Bruninga Chastain Idowu N...

Verballed to Drake
So Drake has gotten a top 20 kid and a top 10 kid in Illinois in the past week? That’s pretty good for Drake.

Were we not trying to get these kids to ISU (serious question)?

Can I please ask the obvious question as to why a Home-grown kid who verballed ISU....then backed out to test the P5 waters..:.is now taking official visits to Valpo and SIU? Wasn’t the explanation put forth that he thought he might go bigger than ISU? Valpo and SIU are not bigger than ISU. If the w...

I would not underestimate Marshall. Loyola would seem to be the favorite. Catholic School. Potentially immediate playing time after cu...

Re: Are we gonna be scary good?

Need some ballhandlers and some playmakers beyond Malik. If Copeland and Jefferson add that dynamic to the team I don’t see how other Valley teams could stop us. Defensively still a lot to prove. We were carved up by Dunk City, BYU and Ole Miss last year. If the on-ball defense isn’t much better on ...

Just listened to mid-major madness interview with Muller. He basically went through entire roster. No mention of Ndaiye. Muller mentioned Josh Jefferson as being the last new eligible player added to the team. That pretty much sums up the situation right there.

Re: Non-Con Schedule

Prognosticators are betting BYU, San Diego St, Central Fla will be on the bubble for at-large. These are the games that are most important to win. They are basically play-in games. We win these games and finish 13-5 or better in Valley I think we have a good shot at at-large. RPI will be in the high...
