Re: Redbird Arena lighting

As you know, especially if you have been to the games, Redbird Arena has been in the process of putting in new LED lighting. It looks terrific, and I am hearing great things about the Women's game last night where they tested the newer LEDs, red ones that fill up the ceiling. I am told it looked sp...

Re: Senior Day

So, I don't disagree this is about next year, but it wouldn't bother me one bit to start Kolbe and play him as long as they can. It's senior day. Let him have his day. I know Spack would rather end up with a winning record than a loser, but at least a few series shouldn't hurt. :text-+1: Play some ...

Re: 2019 NFL Draft

I wondered about Spencer Schnell. Seems like he could be a potential slot receiver. Smart tough player IMO. I doubt he'll get drafted, but maybe somebody will give him a look.
He could surprise some people. The players with the most NFL potential are underclassman (thank god right).

I like their floor, I also like Boise State's blue football field. Anything to change things up a bit.

Re: Thoughts on each player

I would like to see more of this. MY gets a pass out by the wing. He immediately beats his man off the dribble, and then with the Defense collapsing he kicks it out to a wide open JJ.

Re: Thoughts on each player

Good analysis V Boy. Rey, right now, is the “coke machine” that everyone has asked for. A big dude that takes up space and can sorta play defense and sorta rebound. I think he will prove important to our success. The question I keep asking myself is how we graduate NO seniors, retain 89% of our sco...

Re: 11/13 Chicago State game thread

MY saved Dan's ass tonight. I bet he isn't benched for a loooong time. Hustle or no hustle. Sure did!! Without MY we lose to one of the worst D1 teams at home. Hard to believe this is one of DM's most talented teams. Listening to his radio interview he didn't seem that disappointed at how they play...

Wellllll....some blame may be cast on the infamous bus trip to Mizzou for the football game in '07 for no longer having such events   Phantom, that was way before me time. So exactly what happened? Hookers bursting out of a cake on the bus? Cocaine deals in the bathroom? If you're sayin...

Re: Indoor Facility News

I guess I am responsible for this Financial State of ISU discussion, even if it was without any intent on my part. I did a little searching on-line myself and found this article from Forbes to be interesting. The financial woes of the State Universities in Illinois appear not only to be from the la...

Re: Cayman Island Classic

Not to beat a dead horse, but it's slow here today, I just want to be clear that I want nothing special from ISU. I simply wanted some effort. How about an email campaign hyping this tournament? Information about rooms for ISU fans. Maybe a 7 Mile Beach cocktail hour with ISU types? I'm sure their ...

SIUE 68 Redbirds 61....The Cougars only outscored the Birds during the 4th quarter....and reverse the flow of the game, 23-10 during the quarter. Sad demise of the game...since Goods scored 25 points, pulled down 12 rebounds and was 9-9 from the charity stripe. The TEAM was 13-14 for FTs!!! During ...

I doubt MY starts.

“He just doesn't compete and he's not coachable. That happened last year a bunch of times. I'll do it again,” said Muller of benching Yarbrough for long stretches.

Re: VB off to a Great Start!

Win at Bradley on Friday night and they are conference champs! So does that mean the tie breaker is overall record? I think UNI lost 8 times, even though their RPI is a lot better ( 15th vs our 34th) But 24 wins! I wonder if that means they'll go to the big dance even if they fail to win the MVC ch...

It was a 4 hour drive from Terre Haute to Nashville. Two questions-

2- if so why would you admit it?
I admit that I least thought about it....

Re: FGCU Season Opener

I think we lucked out with it being FGCU's first game. I don't think they would have normally turned the ball over 20+ times. I think Saturday is Belmont's first game as well. I think it's great we had a couple of exhibition games under our belt before taking these teams on.

Re: VB off to a Great Start!

In the MVC we're at the top in both Hitting Pct and Opponent Hitting Pct. UNI is right behind us hitting wise, but more near the bottom on the defense hitting pct. So us tied at the top of the standings really is not a fluke. http://mvc-sports.com/stats.aspx?path=wvball&year=2018 Also, Marissa Stock...
