Just the monthly reminder that recruits read this board.
I agree. Chris, if you're out there most of us still want you here.

Re: Abdou Ndiaye COMMITTED to ISU

I’m just counting on him not qualifying like McIntosh. Won’t sting when and if that news comes. Pleasant surprise if he’s cleared. I kinda feel we need him this year. If he sits then we'll have 4 scholarship players riding the pine this year (Boyd, Fisher, Hillsman + Abdou). That's a good chunk of ...

Re: Abdou Ndiaye COMMITTED to ISU

Well, the kid and Rey just walked into the ice cream shop in uptown. Im here for work and stumbled across them. Two 7 footers decked out in ISU basketball gear are hard to miss. The kid is not as thin as youd think. Mighty long. That's awesome! I hope those two become best buds. Can you imagine wha...

Re: Copeland

I will be most interested to see how well Copeland plays defense. It's sounding like he's going to be real good there. Also I like his 86% from the line, just hope he can find a way to get fouled a bunch.

Re: Elijah Smoot committed....

So this is 2 pretty big potential impact players we have lost this week. Anyone concerned yet? I am. Horton was a huge loss. The only way we get better than last year is if Bethard truly is an OC genius. I figure they'll need to score a lot of points, which means Kolbe will have to really take a st...

Re: Elijah Clarance-Swedish National Team

Info I have is that M Chastain currently had another minor meniscus tear to his same knee, shutting it down for 4 to 6 weeks. Not wanting to completely jack Elijah's thread, but this makes a lot of sense as to why Chastain wasn't going to be considered for a scholarship. It is not so much question ...

Re: 2019 - Chris Payton, 6-7/205, SF, Bloomington, IL

this recruitment is somewhat peculiar. Reminds me a bit of the infamous Bradley/SIU recruiting battle of Pookie Twinklers from Canada a few years ago. He was supposed to be the next big thing in the Valley and it never happened. I wonder if MiKyle knows him from playing in Canada? Pookie Twinklers?...

Wow, I'm bummed. I think he was one of our best 4 players and my favorite player to watch. Loved watching him hit. Reminds me of how I felt when Demarco Corbin was dismissed.

Re: Elijah Clarance-Swedish National Team

Looks like he's starting to hit on his 3's...37 percent from my calc. If he can get people to respect his outside shot then going inside will be so much easier. Seems like he's built to take in inside, and that's what he seems to want to do.

Re: NBA Summer League 2018

Heck, if Hawkins got another year then shouldn't it be a cinch for Fisher to get another? I can't seem to find how many games he played at San Jose, but I thought it was less then 8. So Shaq Lawson is playing in the summer league? Man, a couple of years ago I thought he'd be quite a force. He didn't...

Re: Mr. BUFFALOMEAT

They should sell Buffalomeat jersey's on the concourse this year. I bet it would be out best seller, even over our star players...not saying that's fair, but I think it would sell big.

https://twitter.com/Redbird_MBB/status/1009453605668212736 I really appreciate this update video and it allows us to see a little behind the scenes. Obviously, they didn't want to show too much because the video could be found by another squad and used as extra film. A few positives that I saw in t...

Re: crickets......

I'm filing it under the No News is Good News category. They are doing summer camps with kids right now. Other than that it's all quiet on the western front. My friend's kid is in one of those camps and even he barely provides any info. The most I got was "Bruniga is kinda funny" and "Milik comes an...

Another rule change: guys can play in up to 4 games and still redshirt.
I kinda like that potential rule.

From the limited info available, I don’t see him head-and-shoulders over anyone we currently have (out of Kolbe, Brodnax, Hatfield, or Smith). I have all the confidence possible that Coach Beathard will correctly evaluate the talent and make the right decision. In Beathard I trust. I agree with you...

Re: Never too early... 18-19 Non-conf schedule

Hopefully the RBA lower bowl re-do will add not only more seats, but have them closer to the floor like those other arenas. As for Alcohol, they serve it at Bradley games and it doesn't seem to be a problem. A little beer buzz can create more atmosphere, but yeah, maybe there needs to be a few sober...

Re: Never too early... 18-19 Non-conf schedule

I wonder how many more students would come if they had better seating offered to them? I'm not sure attendance would increase that much. The students that care about basketball are already coming imo. Personally, I'd love to sit in those seats in that little section right above the band, but that's ...
