Re: Jefferson Transferring

I'm guessing that coach has seen that the planning that went into last season's team went poorly. I understand that JJ was a...struggling defender (almost all CC transfers are because you don't make the JC AA teams by playing defense), but he was BY FAR the best shooter on the team and the only one...

Re: OT: Former Players

I agree with that Minor league football idea. NFL teams carry a bunch of 'developmental' players that they could loan out to these clubs. Let the NFL team decide how many of these players they want to retain the rights to. As long as they want to pay the increased salaries then let them. It's a win ...

Re: Jefferson Transferring

I thought JJ had the best chance to turn things around next year. I don't understand why he couldn't play defense better than Hein? He has better quickness, etc. At times he played D with intensity. Players shouldn't have been blowing right past him. Seems like he just shut down at some point, and f...

The sport of fishing wouldn't even exist without beer... same with darts and bowling.

Re: Spencer Schnell - nice pro day results

If was fun to watch him develop over the years. When he first started playing I never thought he'd end up with the career he had. We need to keep finding players like him.

Re: OT: Beer

In the legends room they sell beer. I've been to a couple events up in the Hancock club level and they have a bar there that sells beer. So it's not like they are morally against it. Why not make it available to everybody and not just the big donors? If somebody gets too drunk then just escort them ...

The 6-foot-6 guard averaged 3.5 points and 2.9 rebounds while playing 15.8 minutes per game and shooting 37 percent from the field and three-point range and 56 percent at the free throw line.

Adunk, are you inferring he's a perfect fit here? :D

Re: Gassman

Virtually every program, every year, is going to lose a kid or two to transfer. The Gas has worked very hard. I never thought he would be a contributing player here but he certainly changed my mind, he hit alot of important 3's for us, and he made himself into a much better player. Loads of respect...

Re: 2019 - Antonio Reeves, 6-3, SG, Chicago Simeon

I think most recruits have a certain perception of Illinois State and the town of Normal. Brock Spack always said that if they can get a recruit to take a visit they are usually surprised by how nice it is here. I interpret his comment as not having the highest of expectations, but only he really kn...

Sounds like it's possible. She played there.

That's what you call perfect timing. I can't see how they wouldn't want to hire her.

Re: 2019 - Antonio Reeves, 6-3, SG, Chicago Simeon

If he played ball with the projected team for next year I hope he didn't dominate them! Hopefully he sees that he has a chance to play early here given our guard situation. Looks like somebody we need to sign. We got a nice business building here, so that should help.

Re: Gassman

I hope Litwiller gets a call to come back. Kid had passion and was a great teammate. I know a student who talked with him. Luke didn't want to put in all that time and not be able to play or receive any scholarship money. I don't blame him either, but if I had enough talent to just make the team I'...

Re: "Indoor Facility ... #1 priority" ... AD Larry Lyons

The problem with the bubble is all the money used for it will be gone as far as being able to afford the real indoor practice facility they wanted. Maybe if they could build the base of the IPF then temporarily put a bubble over it. I'm not sure how feasible that is. Assuming we have a bubble built ...

Re: Vidette - Student Attendance

I've been told that they really don't want enrollment to grow too much from here. The school doesn't have the capacity. I think they are very happy to have stable numbers. To really grow we'd have to conquer some neighborhoods, you know, to have that 'living space'.

Re: Gassman

Hmmmm seems odd but maybe he wants to be on scholarship and he knows that won't happen at ISU. I wish him the best. Great kid and great family. At most schools, if you walk on, and play any sort of decent minutes, the school will try to get you a scholarship the next season. See this all the time! ...

This makes no sense to me. Where did the Redbird Rising money go? Larry said in the video the number one priority is the indoor facility. No Redbird Rising money is being used to upgrade Redbird Arena. It also said money is being used to increase its season ticket base (we have gone the opposite di...

Re: Davis Gets Another Year

I'm glad we'll have him for the U of I game in 2020. He had a solid last year and still has that swagger. He just needs to add another 5 pct on his completion rate and run the ball more when the opportunity presents itself. He really was hesitant with that last year. But his TD to interception rate ...

Re: MO STATE SWEET 16? For real? Thanks for heads up.

Drake beat them at MSU as well. I figured they had re-established themselves as the team to beat again after that win, but MSU really showed up for the final. I know they lose only 1 senior, so they'll probably be the team to beat next year.
