Re: Redbirds @ UIC - 12/5 6PM

Muller said Copeland, who is ISU's best perimeter defender and one of its main ballhandlers, tweaked his knee last week against Brigham Young. He missed the second half of Monday's practice, but Muller said the junior went through morning shootaround and thought he would be available. “At the start...

Re: Redbirds @ UIC - 12/5 6PM

Some thoughts on the game: We lack senior leadership on a team with 4 seniors. We don’t have a lockdown, Tony Wills type, defender to put on their best player. UIC isn’t a bad basketball team, they may win the Horizon League. We need to get healthy before Conference season. We knew that this season ...

Re: Cayman Islands Classic Game 3 vs Boise State, 1:30 PM CST

Not confident. I never thought I’d say that losing a guy who gave us 4.3 pts per game last year in an average of 18 minutes per game would be a huge loss...but here we are. Losing a big with shot altering skills who could give Fayne a break and grab some rebounds has hurt more than I thought. I can ...

2019 Wish List and Expectations

Our disappointing, yet winning, season ended a couple of hours ago. A season that started with a lot of hype and promise, including a top 10 national ranking, disintegrated amongst a 4 game losing streak. So, let’s talk about what we need for 2019. Offense: The offense is presumably in “good” hands ...

Re: Redbird Arena lighting

Can someone take a pic of the arena from the outside with the red lights?

Re: Redbird Arena lighting

I posted months ago about putting red lights in the roof and making the arena red on game days. Use that as a marketing tool. I’m sure someone can come up with a slogan involving the roof being red and showing up.

Re: 11/13 Chicago State game thread

As far as Chastain goes, he’s been hurt a good majority of the summer and fall with his knee. He’s going to take some time to get to game speed.

Matt Hein. The kid has heart. He just isn’t good at basketball.

Re: Thoughts on each player

Good analysis V Boy. Rey, right now, is the “coke machine” that everyone has asked for. A big dude that takes up space and can sorta play defense and sorta rebound. I think he will prove important to our success. The question I keep asking myself is how we graduate NO seniors, retain 89% of our scor...

For anyone that likes pain and suffering, there’s a replay of last nights game on Comcast sports net right now. 19 minutes left in the game.

I hate to say this, but I feel like we miss King David. He at least could rebound.

Re: Belmont Game Thread

“He just doesn't compete and he's not coachable. That happened last year a bunch of times. I'll do it again,” said Muller of benching Yarbrough for long stretches.
I know Yarbrough is good. But I can’t root for him on an individual basis.
