Re: Coaching Candidates

:text-+1: https://twitter.com/coachchrisjans/status/1097000913485615104?s=12 I find it funny we are worried about Jans past history when we’ve had around 20 player arrests under Muller. I’m fine with Jans, just don’t see it happening. No power 5 will care about his ass slapping if they keep winning....

I don't want to see this year's team in the tourney....it would be embarrassing to see what an actual good team would do to us.

I thought Dan has a defensive pedigree? I wouldn't know it by watching these guys (minus Chastain). I just dont understand why this team hasnt bought into defense. We are a very talented and athletic team. Seems like an effort thing....which comes from the top down

Ok, maybe I was wrong about mot wanting a trip to dance. Maybe? I can only hope that something happens with this team between now and St Louis that would evoke a little hope.

Re: I haven't been this bored with redbird basketball in a long time.

You know, I hate to agree, but I do. Bored is an excellent way to put this. Of course, with the Valley a projected 1 seed (and 14 seed at that), it is really hard to be interested in season games, especially when we are middle of the pack. I kinda felt this way about 70% of the way through football...

Re: Winning on Sunday in the Lou

I feel like it would be an embarrassment to have the redbirds in the dance. They would have a low seed and get wasted. Aside from the money, I see no advantage for getting to the dance.

Haven’t been to an ISU game in over a year. That won’t change anytime soon. Didn’t watch game. It’s more entertaining to watch people still get upset here. Yarbrough isn’t getting better. He is the exact same player as last year. Mentally, physically, skill-wise and turnover wise. He is a below ave...

I haven't been this bored with redbird basketball in a long time.

The team looks lost at times tonight. Much like many other nights this season. I see little passion for the competition and it is boring to watch.

Re: Booing

I would like to see those "softest fans" stats. I have been to a lot of games in my life. Thousands. We are far, far from the softest. Of course, that is just my opinion. But I am sure the poster has the stats and facts to back that claim up. All you need to do is hop on RBF and you can see that in...

Re: Booing

I would easily fall on the side that people need much thicker skin. I have been boo'ed before - makes me work harder to make sure I am right. Also, there are times, when I deserved to be boo'ed (not often), and there are other times if the people are not booing - means they DO NOT GIVE A DAMN - whi...

:text-+1: I get the feeling there may be more than one or two posters out here who are demanding Dan be better at his job than they are at their own! I seriously doubt we are all in the top ten percent for our employer - especially given the amount of message board time some put in during a workday....

Re: @ Missouri St - 3 pm - ESPN3

I can't argue that. I was devastated at the arena that night! I guess my point is, there is no guarantee that a new coach is a better coach. This is Dan's first gig as a head coach, he still has learning to do, I can see that, but starting with an unknown doesn't automatically mean we will be bette...

Re: @ Missouri St - 3 pm - ESPN3

Bb, I was typing when you posted. One suggestion on Dan, he needs an assistant who knows X and Os. Dan is a very good recruiter as long as he doesn’t forget about getting a PG. Dan is a very good scheduler. Dan is horrible at game coaching. Substitution patterns are illogical and he has these wild ...

Re: @ Missouri St - 3 pm - ESPN3

This game, and really the whole MVC season, is a swamp. But a very complex one. A swamp with many political overtones and resonances that can't be fathomed at the present time, but need the distance of the future to give it a perspective so that you can truly have a point of view, and realize the v...

:text-+1: Left the team! Yes, this changed the next day. Guess the coaching staff couldn’t get him on the same page. Did find it interesting that Mosely said something about focusing on coaching the 13 guys that wanted to be there. Uncoachable? That never translates well. There's a difference betwee...

Maybe Dan knew more than we did, and that is why he is not going to be a Redbird. Maybe it was no longer an option for Mr Payton to be a Redbird. He’s all yours SIU.

Re: How many 4 year players under Muller

This is year 7 under Muller, and looking back I'm curious as to just how few players came here as freshmen and graduated having played their entire college career here. I know there's been Wills and Lee...and this year we'll have Evans. But, is that it? I'm afraid that these inconsistencies and fru...

You beg fans to show up, developed the tiniest bit of traction after Loyola, and this is the next building block towards fan intererest?!? Wow, just wow.
Can’t blame the fans for their apathy . Man in the mirror time.
