Re: Abdou Ndiaye COMMITTED to ISU

Well, the kid and Rey just walked into the ice cream shop in uptown. Im here for work and stumbled across them. Two 7 footers decked out in ISU basketball gear are hard to miss. The kid is not as thin as youd think. Mighty long.

Mark Adams going to war for Mid Majors

He has consulted analysts and come up with a way to break the system of the power 6 getting 80% of the At Large spots. https://deadspin.com/a-college-basketball-insider-is-uniting-mid-majors-to-b-1826990796 In the end, it wont matter because the selection committee will just change the metric that t...

We are at UIC this year with return in 2019 at ISU
Love it. Anyone for a "Redbirds take over the Greek Islands" lunch before the game? Nothing better than watching ISU pound ass while full of lamb and blitzed on Roditys.

Re: Never too early... 18-19 Non-conf schedule

Yeesh. 6-8 games vs T100 opponents before we even see a much improves SIU squad, a potential T75 Bradley team and, of course, Loyola twice.

I like it. Very few chumps.

Re: Street and Smith and Athlon

I was reading Street and Smith in depth and St. Xavier is picked 5th nationally in NAIA. That's impressive and I expect a battle from them. If that's true then we will likely not win a game in the MVFC Well, they are playing a D1 team, probably for the first time ever. Further, this will be a local...

Re: Never too early... 18-19 Non-conf schedule

This schedule is turning out to be no joke at all. Muller certainly seems to understand that to make the field of 64, he is going to need to have a T100 OOC SOS.

Re: Elijah Clarance-Swedish National Team

The 51 shots put up in 5 games would be about right for a PG. The FT are concerning, but the 13 steals is good!

I know you are freaking out about the 16 TO, but over 5 games, thats... what 3 TO a game? Given the 25+ MPG, I'm completely fine with that.

Re: Milik

Boy, I hope that grape vine is way incorrect. We have a shit ton of guards on this team and having a guy that SHOULD be playing the 3 or 4 at the 1 takes time away from some of our most valuable shooters and distributors.

Re: Elijah Clarance-Swedish National Team

These guys are not out there just shooting the shit and hucking up 35 foot prayer shots to see if they can make them. I assure you these games, while not physical like you'd in D1 league play, are certainly high competition complete with plays, gameplan and defense. Let's not make it sound like EC i...

Re: Coverage Strategy - Man, Ball, or Both

A successful team incorporates both man and zone. A cover 2 over the top with man to man under is a pretty standard way to go. With ISU's linebackers being as athletic as they are, I can see them letting Linebackers cover backs and TE (hell, even some slot WR) in man while still keeping safety help...

Re: MVC-MWC Challenge to End

While this sucks for schools like ISU and Loyola, I dont think the challenge made much sense to schools in the middle to lower end of each conference. It was a lot of travel expense for someone to fly to Evansville IN from the West Coast in a matchup of teams that might win a combined 30 games.

Five years ago, TheRecruitScoop announced that Justin Coleman committed to ISU. Doing a quick search, (If he is the same Justin Coleman) he originally enrolled at ...

We just moved to Dekalb area, hoping to make a game or two Yeesh. My condolences. Depends on the area. I wouldn't choose Dekalb or sycamore bu the Geneva/st. Charles area is pretty nice Those 2 regions are not near eachother at all. It is like saying "I wouldn't want to live in Joliet, but the Sout...

You seriously think Tyree Horton looked at Coach Spack in June and said "I'm out?" knowing it would effectively be the last time he'd ever play organized football? I mean, don't get me wrong, there is an outside chance the CFL, the XFL or the AAF (Jesus Christ is there ever going to be a lot of bad ...

You guys were HATING on EC last year, but we all know that the game at this level takes time to adapt to. If Teddy wanted to, he could have gotten into international ball after his last year at ISU. Someone put the NBA big in his ear and BOY was that stupid.
