And U of I...mid major program in a major conference.
Not sure if they could compete in the ovc

Re: Abdou Ndiaye COMMITTED to ISU

Well, the kid and Rey just walked into the ice cream shop in uptown. Im here for work and stumbled across them. Two 7 footers decked out in ISU basketball gear are hard to miss. The kid is not as thin as youd think. Mighty long. Good to know. It will be nice having Abdou here and ready to play this...

Re: Elijah Clarance-Swedish National Team

The games were described as "friendly" competition. Those numbers are lofty, but I put NO stock in them at this point. If Clarence comes back to campus vastly improved, man, that would simply be fantastic and give us an even deeper bench on an already deep bench. I do think he's starting pretty low...

Lofton has "committed" to playing for the Pistons this summer. We'll see if he ends up on a few different teams.

Like the hire as long as he has his head back on straight. He did some nice things with Elmore while at Marshall.

It sure would be nice to get a tune up game at home before that tourney. I think it is definitely winnable for the birds.

Re: Is this the year?

If they guys buy into defense then yes this will be the year for them. Watching Loyola in the tournament had to burn that into their brains that defense and taking care of the ball wins games. Talent level is off the charts so now they just need the edge to them.

14. Litwiller (if he's still on the team. He needs to redshirt)

Umm why would our walk-on redshirt? He was an emergency add last season and has no chance of earning a scholarship. Not sure what redshirting gets him

Re: Muller's Summer Press Conference

:text-+1: Logic prevails. That plus he is not on the roster on goredbirds.com. So now we are +1 on scholarships. I presume since Muller seemed to make it clear that Gassman's scholarship was just for last year just because they had an extra one so why let it go to waste that he would return to bein...

Re: Abdou Ndiaye COMMITTED to ISU

I'm referring in terms of how good he is. Jackie's 17.4 points and 9.2 rebounds his final year (during an era where the game was slower and less possessions and much more physical) vs. David's 4.3 points per game and 4.0 rebounds in a more up tempo, stat-friendly era. "A different era" ?? Jackie gr...

Re: Rumors starting already

Ok so here is how I see this going down. Chastain, Gassman and Romine all pay their own way. All three will get scholarships next season. Hein will graduate early and grad transfer work two years remaining and get his master's degree. Romine owes Dan for not burning him a year once NCAA rules.

Re: Madison Williams career over

Madison did in two years what few players do, created a positive lasting memory. That dunk against Valparaiso will live in ISU lore for years. Happy Madison gets to finish his schooling. He was a great athlete and when his knees weren't killing him he was hitting his outside shot above 40%.

Opening Night Starting 5 Keyshawn Copeland Milik Fayne Abdou Keyshawn Copeland Milik Tinsley Fayne BENCH N’diaye Idowu Chastain Jefferson Clarance Bruninga 1. Hein is not listed. Thank God. 2. It's scary when Bruninga is 8-10 Madison as the 12th? Deepest team we have had in awhile.
