Re: Never too early... 18-19 Non-conf schedule

I would say this is our best non conference schedule in recent memory. Perfect timing too since we have all of our returning starters and 4 seniors. Here is to a healthy, fun, winning and dancing season.

If not playing Romine for a small part of last season can get us three years instead of two then that is a win for the team.
+1...👍
Unless he sucks.
If he sucks then he wouldn't have helped last year anyway. So the way I see it is better to support him than to rail on him.

Re: Tax Law Change

I think the larger effect will be on revenue. Donations will certainly be down. Don't know how badly it will hurt attendance. It's not like you need to donate anything to get a ticket to an ISU event. Timmy, but to buy a season ticket in the lower bowl requires you to donate a certain amount. I alw...

Nice little article. Here is hoping the valley takes care of business in the non conference.

Re: King David gone

Right now we are over one scholarship so we would need two more departures to bring in another big. I could see Dixon following penny and that would free up one but not sure where the second comes from. Your assuming Gassman or Chastain is on scholarship for 18-19? Just Chastain. Did I have my numb...

Re: King David gone

I don't think anyone is saying he is the savior or end all be all. I think it was two of us who stated he was running with the first team before took time away. That's it. It was others who began attacking him and then Dan for last season.

Re: King David gone

Priority on winning is hating on ISU? No it's your priority of hating on kids who haven't seen the floor yet or who you don't feel worthy of your support. You ragged on Paris Lee and he was MVC poy. Btw you can support players and still want to win. If not playing Romine for a small part of last se...

Re: King David gone

Must you hate everything ISU? Priority on winning is hating on ISU? Of course, because some don’t care. They show up, eat popcorn...and call themselves big redbirdfan fans...hang with their clique. They could care less if we win...as long as they have a good time. That’s fine...I have no problem wi...

Re: King David gone

What about screwing over the rest of the team by denying them an NCAA trip? It’s a team sport. Romine is part of the team. But you want to serve the need of 1 at the expense of the rest. The objective is to win. Must you hate everything ISU? Priority on winning is hating on ISU? No it's your priori...

Re: King David gone

So ISU was 1 win from the NCAA tourney and our own possible final 4 run, and Muller makes the coaching decision to sit a starter? Another choose to lose decision? He was hired to win. Nice guy finishes last again. He might want to go gor it once while he still has the job No it wasn't a choose to l...

Re: King David gone

they do not need to get a medical redshirt for romine because he didnt play. you only need to apply for one if he plays that season. he auto gets it because he didnt play. 2 eligible season remaining Can someone PM me about his specific injury? ACL? Severe blisters? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapa...

Re: King David gone

The Romine discussion is always puzzling to me. Based on his play prior to ISU, I don't think most would have high expectations. Then he leaves the team for an extended period of time with very little information and most of us are left to speculate why. When he returns, we are told everyone is rea...

Romine, heading into the '17-'18 season, could play. He was set to be a starter. HE CAN PLAY.
Set to be a starter by whom? You?
Muller.

Re: King David gone

Am I the only one who finds it highly unlikely Romine would get a medical redshirt? Bryson didn't get one. In general, they only grant 6th years if 2 of the years were lost to injury (see Evan Eschmeyer). Romine will have only lost one year to injury (if we really think he was even injured). His ot...

Re: King David gone

Or maybe he looked good going against DN...just like everyone else did. Have you seen him play? No, but we know what your eye for talent is. I want to be better than mediocre. If Romine was good enough to help...he would have played last year. If he was running with the 1st team and dominating like...
