Re: Jaycee Hillsman Commits

He’s played in every game for 3 years straight, so one year of eligibility.

Re: Dixon Not Coming To ISU

I feel like this guy was the flyer that Dan usually takes on a raw, skinny 6’9” guy that rarely works out a al Elvis, Andre, Jamal, etc.

Rey looks much more ready to help now. Wish Dixon the best but not sweating this one.

Re: Penny Collins

Releases happen every day in college basketball. Usually when a head coach leaves. I would be shocked if Dan Muller let his only two recruits go this late in the season when he can't replace them with quality recruits. Shocked. In a situation where scholarships are overbooked, and Dixon, especially...

Re: ** SIGNED ** 2018 - Rey Idowu, 6-9/230, PF, Melbourne, FL

Rey has "favorited" my Twitter posts that have players and Coach Muller signing for my daughter on her mini-basketball post-game both times I have posted them. He is definitely paying attention to what is being posted about the program. Love seeing a young guy locked in like that already. I noticed...

He won't be missed on the floor but it is interesting how we cannot keep players eligible. We really really struggle with that. It definitely seems more than average
Who was the last person we couldn't keep eligible? Copeland's issues were from his previous school.

Re: Milik suspended for QU game

I'm not sure if handling appropriately means waiting until a D2 game to suspend him I'm not sure you know what, why or where this violation of team rules happened. I'm also pretty sure your reputation isn't on the line for this decision. If you have more information about what horrible thing he did...

Re: Milik suspended for QU game

This is nothing new. Really good transfers fall into our laps for a reason. It's a necessary mid major budget evil. Dan is handling appropriately I presume.

Re: Chris Payton Verbals

I think it's less about getting players that are going to stay their full 4 years, and more about recruiting Illinois specifically. I could be wrong but I think Illinois (mainly Chicago) is one of the best states for producing D1 basketball talent. That's why to me, recruiting locally is more impor...

Re: Chris Payton Verbals

I do believe it is important to get players from Illinois and locally. IMO, they are much more likely to stay and develop and not get homesick or leave for other reasons. Family and friends are still very important at age 18-22 as it always is. I don't have stats to back this up, but I feel our tra...
