Re: Who would you like to see as the next head coach?

I'm just hoping we hire someone off the board. So much insight, so little conversion to palpable income to show for it. Idiots abound in the coaching world, it's time to look to the real source of basketball intelligence. I would like to be the Point Guard coach, not the head coach. You only get to...

I think the problem with Muller is being too involved with the Trump/collusion investigation while trying to deal with the team.

Re: 11/13 Chicago State game thread

Hein doesn't make up for anything with anything else. He's simply not a d1 player. You can tell yourself and everyone here otherwise but every single one of you knows inside your head that he just isnt. Sure, keep him for garbage time or whatever since we only have 10 players but that's it. But tel...

I think our chances of winning Arch Madness are as good as they’ve been since Stallings. But that’s not saying much.

Re: Belmont Game Thread

No. I believe Yaklich and torrey were the catalyst not Muller. It's quite evident at this point. I've never called Hein an idiot. I simply said they suck at basketball or are a criminal or are not motivated. Im not going to call Hein an idiot. But keep it coming you wont effect me Nice try . . . yo...

Re: Who would you like to see as the next head coach?

It remains to be seen just how good Belmont is; they could lose 15 games. Its too early to tell if they're that good, or we're simply overrated (again). Aren’t they predicted to win their league? Is that based on reputation or people voting on how they truly think it’s gonna go down? The fact that ...

Re: What are you expectations for the season now?

I seem to remember a lot of doom and gloom after the Birds started 1-2 in 2016/17. Then went 17-1 in conference. Then anger when we didn't get a bid.

Not saying that's going to happen, but am saying that 2 games is a little too soon to be making predictions about how bad we might be.

Next topic.

Re: Belmont Game Thread

I don't care if you don't like me. I don't know many times I have to say. I don't call anyone on his board names, however. All I ask is you to stop loving Dan because he's an alum. Look at this body of work. Only real success was with yak. He's a better version of Paul lusk. A great recruiter but c...

“He just doesn't compete and he's not coachable. That happened last year a bunch of times. I'll do it again,” said Muller of benching Yarbrough for long stretches.
I know Yarbrough is good. But I can’t root for him on an individual basis.
Can you root for him when you're in a group? ;)

Re: Belmont Game Thread

Belmont's conversion off missed shots or turnovers was at times lightning quick. I respect programs that play an entertaining style of play...cause it builds and keeps a fan base. Every AD and coach always ought to keep that in mind. Moving on from tonight. No, you can't leave yet. We still have 28...

For those who remember, a Donewald coached team would never have allowed 100 points in a game.
Gave up 107 to Oklahoma 1987-88 season. Of course, beating Iowa the night before took some of the sting out of that.
107 - 56

Bullsht. It happened.
Like I said earlier . . . SIU put up 105 against Donewald in 1984.

Re: Belmont Game Thread

Congrats to Belmont. Man, what an entertaining style of basketball and Byrd knows how to coach it. Those fans spent a good entertainment dollar tonight. Very disappointed. Dan is always going to be defense-oriented, and if ya don't play it to his liking, he's going to take minutes from you. Lots of...
