Re: Never too early... 18-19 Non-conf schedule

Cayman Islands next year? http://thebonablog.com/2017/11/29/source-bonnies-headed-to-cayman-islands-classic/ I'm no where near giving up on this season, lot of basketball to be played, especially with the expected soon return of some reinforcements. Does anyone have any further insight regarding th...

Many rankings are projections, and not necessarily an indication of how "good" a player is at that point. Okoro is probably higher ranked because of his height and athleticism. You can't teach those two things. Payton is probably more polished because he grew up around his older brother. That happe...

Re: Vs Murray State, 3 p.m.

Well as I stated before the season started, this would be a god Juco team and in the bottom 3 in the micro valley coop. Just not enough of any one thing, now that Big D is not around, even worse. DM can only do so much with the walk ons and bench players as starts. I can Yar, fayne, big d and Burni...

Re: Projections

If we go 13-17 (8-10), then what? Honestly, I would find that record to be completely unacceptable and I don’t care to hear excuses surrounding injuries, suspensions, etc. So you would find it unacceptable. What will you do about it? A better job at handing out scholarships like it’s candy and eval...

Re: Scholarship Matrix

We need a big 6-8/250 pounder. That’s been the missing piece for years. We've got one coming. https://redbirdfan.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=192 Does he look 230 in the photo? I’m thinking 210...maybe. Maybe it’s skinny mirrors:) Maybe it's your crappy eyeglasses. Give it up, Cali. Kid's a physi...

Re: Vs Murray State, 3 p.m.

If he was really going to commit to being here, he would have more than a $50k buyout. I’m not sure I understand how his buyout shows Muller isn’t committed to being here. Did he force the buyout to be so low? Or should he have demanded a higher buyout to demonstrate his commitment? And what does “...

Re: Vs Murray State, 3 p.m.

Sorry, when I saw Hien was starting I switched over to Loyola thrashing Norfolk State. I was surprised to see how close the Birds were at the end. If it had been Martin or Tinsley starting I would have watched ISU. .. But, not Hein. IMO, Hein hustles harder than anyone on this team. I would be will...

Re: Vs Murray State, 3 p.m.

All in all, in my opinion, we had no business having a chance to tie this game late. Again we were undersized and had less athleticism. We were outshot, outrebounded, and outpassed. Yet we still had a chance to tie late to send it to overtime. Without having Phil, I honestly thought we’d lose by a ...

Re: Vs Murray State, 3 p.m.

Yarbrough’s body language is brutal. He’s clearly an emotional kid and has been through a lot Recently. But the facial expressions. Arms flying around all the time. Running his mouth constantly. Has me somewhat concerned. He’s a junior. Not in high school. MY was nearing a technical in the first ha...

Re: Vs Murray State, 3 p.m.

Guys, there is no chance we win this. 5 big time players are out (Fayne, EC, David, Copeland, Romine). Hard to win when you only have 8 active guys and three of those don’t belong in D1. Big time players? 4 that have basically not played a minute of Redbird basketball yet. A little premature on the...

There should be an over/under on Hein minutes. If Hein plays more than 3 minutes we lose - under we win.
Then you shouldn’t be surprised if we lose. And you should offer an apology to Hein if we win. He’ll see more than three minutes.

Re: Starters/rotation when healthy

We haven't seen much from EC to crown him starter let alone have much of an idea of what he will offer. From the videos we saw he is legit but he is only a freshman and we have not seem him compete against college competition. He is one player we are all excited to see based on his skill set but to...
