Re: Former Redbirds...

And in other news: https://twitter.com/CoachBmullins/status/1060552900336857088 I really wish an NBA team would give him a look You would think some team would want a defensive specialist. He would get posted up non-stop by the long big guards in the NBA. Tyler Ulis, a better all around P Lee, is i...

Re: Cayman Island Classic

I would be interested to know how many ISU people go on these trips, where it isn't stateside? Seems like they could've offered some kind of package deal. I would have been interested in something like that. But if only 10 people go to these things, then yeah I would agree it isn't worth it. also d...

Re: Purdue's Jeff Brohm to Louisville

Agree with the comments that Spack's opportunity was 2 to 3 years ago especially looking at the ISU football results. If people are getting frustrated by Muller, by comparison, Spack should be getting some heat too even with the national championship game, IMO. ISU football should be in the playoffs...

Re: Opinion on 3 point shot

It has been a good thing for basketball...more ball movement and spreads out the offense and defense. Seeing teams with nothing but tall guys, some with very little basketball skill, just packing it inside offensively and defensively was getting old. Also the 3 pointer makes coaching and strategy mo...

I hope they leave the lights off in the upper bowl when they finish. Looks a lot better in person and on TV. You don't see the entire upper bowl as empty on TV. Plus, I like that it puts the basketball court as the center of attention.

Re: Thoughts on each player

Good analysis V Boy. Rey, right now, is the “coke machine” that everyone has asked for. A big dude that takes up space and can sorta play defense and sorta rebound. I think he will prove important to our success. The question I keep asking myself is how we graduate NO seniors, retain 89% of our sco...

Re: 11/13 Chicago State game thread

It has all been said. SOFT. NOT SMART. Maybe we just aren't very good either. Time will tell on that one. Key---I just don't understand what happened to him. Two straight turnovers and then a wide open 3 point air ball. He has not been good since the 1st month of last season. The only two positives...

Keep grinding... don't give up. If you're throwing the coach or team under the bus this early in the season, you were looking for the first reason to do so.

Re: 11/13 Chicago State game thread

Ugly wins are still wins, essentially a non-loss. Id rather have a wake up call like tonight than a loss...use this game the rest of the season there is no win when playing chicago state...you can only lose. Barely avoided that loss but we did avoid it. There are some serious red flags waving all a...

Re: 11/13 Chicago State game thread

Meh. It’s Chicago State. We either need to play better defense or shoot it better if we are to have success in the Cayman Islands. And I think it’s a bit much to expect JJ to shoot better than .667 from 3, as he is thus far this season. So, might want to pick it up on the defensive end. Very capabl...

Re: Cayman Island Classic

Cayman will not be like this at all. The gym is on the other side of Georgetown and all three days G'town will be crawling with wayward cruise ship tourists. Travel thru town will take a while, unless they can route everyone around the downtown area. The official hotel is actually up towards West B...
