Visited Western Michigan over the weekend. One thing that may be bad about getting a kid like this...he seems to have a handler. His AAU coach seems VERY involved with his recruitment.
Isn't that the case more often than not these days?

Re: 2019 Thomasville (GA) C Titus Wright

Really hoping this kid signs with the birds. It would be interesting to see what he could do after he gets in our weight program. If we could just beat out Western Michigan, Canicius, Alabama State, San Houston State, and Tennessee-Martin, we can get him. Unfortunately given the current state of ou...

Re: Jefferson Transferring

The inability for Muller and his staff to size up players' inability to perform at a high level before they offer scholarships has become a huge problem. They either aren't evaluating these kids correctly or are super arrogant about their own perceived ability to develop them on an exceptionally ra...

Re: Jefferson Transferring

He seemed like a solid kid and had a decent shot. He did not play defense though and you better have an offense like James Harden to make up for that. So, our defenders can’t shoot...and our shooters can’t defend. Sounds like a recipe for failure. Sounds about right. Dan can't teach the ones that p...

Re: D1 Transfers of Interest

I'd take a 15 point scorer who can handle the ball and has good experience in a heartbeat. Bishop was bright spot on Kangaroo roster. Watched UMKC as they hosted/throttled by New Mexico State. Tried very hard to do more with less (Aggies were good and Chris Jans has kept the Aggies rolling (would m...

Re: Davis Gets Another Year

this is good news. I expect Davis to take a huge jump this year. 1--he's 100% healthy 2---he's not learning a new system 3--he has returning targets 4--he has a great running back 5--he has a veteran O-line 6--he's comfortable (presumably) with his teammates and his role as the leader of the team Th...

Re: Getting Hurt in Recruiting

I wonder if we've reached out to the many construction management alums to see if we can get a "discount" on the plans/renderings or actual work?

i know a couple that would help the alma mater.

Re: 2019 Thomasville (GA) C Titus Wright

i like this kid.

good hands. quick feet. can score with the left or the right. soft touch.

a year or so in the weight room with a good diet and this kid could be a tough guy to stop. would pair nice with Rey's defense and rebounding ability.

Re: BU disgraces itself, telling longtime PJS beat writer 'You don't promote the Bradley brand'

Not that I care too much since it is Bradley, but what gets lost in all of this is Wardle and the AD took away from the players making the NCAA Tournament. It should be all about the players and Wardle decided his ego and settling a score with the beat writer was more important than his players. ag...

Re: Muller seeks to restore 'toughness, effort'

Well, we will see what happens. Now Bruninga not being available until October? That does not sound good. While it was in the article - it was not in quotes - we need guards who are basketball players period - not just athletes who will learn to play guard. Guards that shoot when appropriate, know ...

Re: Thoughts for this week and going into 2019-2020--HCDM centric

If I were ISU president and AD and if I were Dan Muller I would be closely studying what coaches from Wofford, Lipscomb, Murray St, Belmont, Buffalo are doing. These teams are so much better than Valley teams right now. What kind of players are they getting? What is the profile of those players? Ar...

Re: Derrick Cook juco PG

I'd be interested in why he missed so many games. Injury or attitude related? Either way.... i know taking risks is important but we've had enough injury prone players lately. We've had more than our fair share of attitude prone players too, and I'll be honest I think we need to avoid as many heada...

It’s too bad we beat UE. Could have avoided the curb stomping that a Drake gave us.

Next year Dan will be counting heavily on 5 guys that didn’t play basketball this year. Say that a few times out loud and try not to be frustrated.
