Re: Starters/rotation when healthy

Part of the problem is that under normal circumstances, you put one of the guys from the bottom of the roster out on the floor to play with the heavy rotation guys for a couple of minutes. Right now we are asking the bottom 4, and at times maybe the bottom 5 to go out as a unit and compete for exte...

Re: Offensive Coaching Changes

Maybe the "troll" is actually someone in the know....or maybe he's not. Let's not judge someone just because their post count. Many a great redbird fans and posters were moved to join the board based on wanting to post or respond to something that confrontational. The points that this poster is mak...

Re: Former Redbirds...

BTW, anyone catch that Boston College beat Duke? I realize Hawkins is done...but that's why he went there. Upper level games every night, packed houses, TV and media exposure. I realiz that's an indictment on our program... Hawk may have left to play in a bigger conference along with the greener pa...

Re: Vs Murray State, 3 p.m.

Well as I stated before the season started, this would be a god Juco team and in the bottom 3 in the micro valley coop. Just not enough of any one thing, now that Big D is not around, even worse. DM can only do so much with the walk ons and bench players as starts. I can Yar, fayne, big d and Burni...

Re: Projections

That's how all recruiting is. Its all hype until they get on the court. Unless you are in ESPNs Top 10, it is a crap shoot as to how you will be when you hit the court. Everyone thought Justin Clark was going to be the best thing since sliced bread, and he got here and couldn't hit the broad side o...

Re: Vs Murray State, 3 p.m.

I would guess it isn't really about the pain, so much as not wanting an imbalance to cause another injury. Don't let that distract you from the fact that in 1966, Al Bundy recorded 4 touchdowns in the Chicago city championship for the Polk High School Panthers, including the last-second game winner...

Re: Vs Murray State, 3 p.m.

I would guess it isn't really about the pain, so much as not wanting an imbalance to cause another injury. Good point in relation to the fact that it does create imbalances over time. All this talk about David keeping the boot on. Get that thing OFF as soon as you can!! It's not natural to wear a b...

Re: Projections

Honestly, who cares? It’s been 20 years. Find a way to make it happen. I mean it's hard to make it happen when we are missing guys. I want to make the tourney as much as anyone, but it is hard to make it happen with us being down 4-5 guys regularly. That said I wouldn't rule us out yet... It wasn’t...

I'll tell you this though. They're giving us all they've got and I'll root my ass off for each one of them.

Thing that amazes me is that Litwiller has stepped in and actually made buckets!! It's almost bizarre...

Re: Projections

Find a Division 1 program who has lost more legitimate minute guys from summer until now. (I'm not talking about our graduating seniors) Honestly, who cares? It’s been 20 years. Find a way to make it happen. I get it and I half agree with you and it should be a next man up attitude. But when you're...

Re: Vs Murray State, 3 p.m.

] I do agree blisters can be brutal but has it not already been a week? Should be more than healed by now. Must be something else going on. You know it really depends on how deep the callouses run on the plantar part of the foot. And I believe it varies depending on your individual gait. (meaning, ...

Re: Vs Murray State, 3 p.m.

You’re not allowed to question EC’s toughness in regard to blisters. Trust me. Dude, that made me laugh out loud. NICE! ! Point taken. All I know is, some of the blisters/callouses I had...were very painful...to the point where it had absolute impact on my game. If I had game. I probably did...

Re: Vs Murray State, 3 p.m.

One more thing. Dan's a magician right now for squeezing out wins with this hurting and short group. I'll bet in all of Div1 basketball, no program has lost more impact players from summer till now. Only halfway legit criticism is the eligibility of Copeland. Even that, though, you can't full out b...

Re: Projections

If we go 13-17 (8-10), then what? Honestly, I would find that record to be completely unacceptable and I don’t care to hear excuses surrounding injuries, suspensions, etc. I think if our guys don't come back this year, that record would be half a miracle and Dan should get Coach of the freaking Year.

Re: Vs Murray State, 3 p.m.

Two things. I believe the Muller contract, i.e.: the low buyout, was more of a favor to Dan for being a good son to ISU. (best student-athlete combo we've probably ever had in a Redbird basketball uniform and coaching us to most wins ever in a season) Now I realize this board will go bat-sht crazy o...
