Re: Elijah Clarance-Swedish National Team

Jefferson will also CREATE a lot of turnovers. I have seen him play a lot of basketball in person and he has a great knack for anticipating and getting into passing lanes. So long as he isn't careless about it I think people will be very surprised at this particular aspect of his game. So what's yo...

Re: Elijah Clarance-Swedish National Team

The number one addition for this year's team could be Chris Duhon. I have a feeling he is going to step into Yak's D-coord. role for this team and also work closely with our developing our guards. I think it's great Elijah is getting this playing experience over the summer, but I look forward to Du...

If he has the scorer mentality (not saying that he can't be a good playmaker, I think he can be) but would HCDM play him more off the ball?

That's a good question. Very excited to see how this group meshes together.

Re: Elijah Clarance-Swedish National Team

Many have compared Elijah to a similar type of player of Russ Westbrook and OKC. I completely agree. I am a huge Kevin Durant fan and hated when he played with Russ. Russ had the athleticism to do anything he wanted but would often not play within himself or he would drive to the lane being heavily...

Re: Elijah Clarance-Swedish National Team

Talent is clear with this one. He has more than enough to be a really, really good college player. As for the motor..........I agree..........he needs to slow down a bit but i'd rather be forced to tell a kid to slow down a bit as opposed to telling him to start playing hard and hustling more. defe...

Elijah needs to get better with his right hand.

YupYupYup. This was glaring to me last year.

In saying that, glad to see this experience for him and he's putting up good numbers. If anything, a confidence builder and maybe the game will slow down for him in the middle of his frenetic pace.

Dang, we got Kobe??

Just a hunch, but I believe Kolbe is going to have a breakout year.

Very interesting reading regarding McGee. Surprised Lovie didn't fire him midway. And two guys intricately involved in the offense teaching different technique in the crunch? Man.

Welcome, Gabe!!

Re: NBA Summer League 2018

Here's the other thing. MM wouldn't have been the best player on our team. Based on last year's stats, he might've been our fourth best player. Hmmmn... In fairness, if he would have been on the team Phil, Key, and Miliks numbers would have gone down significantly. It's a good point, but disagree. ...

Despite the zero minutes...who's wearing the Portland summer league jersey??

That would be Mikyle.

MiKyle “traitor” McIntosh rides the pine and logs 0 minutes for Portland today. Boy, lots of traitors in today's game of college basketball these days. If he was my son, I ABSOLUTELY would have encouraged him to explore his options. Under the RULES, he earned that right. I doubt, deep at heart, man...

Re: Elijah Clarance-Swedish National Team

The games were described as "friendly" competition. Those numbers are lofty, but I put NO stock in them at this point. If Clarence comes back to campus vastly improved, man, that would simply be fantastic and give us an even deeper bench on an already deep bench. I do think he's starting pretty low ...

Hawkins is an idiot. He was actually awarded another year of eligibility and decided to forgo it.

Didn't someone here mention that he was turned down for another year of eligibility?

Re: Turf Updates

Walked the field this week and it is a stunning difference. Makes the entire place look better. Seems maybe a bit silly but I believe it's a confidence booster for the players and the entire program in general...and hopefully the fan base (ie: donors). I think this is going to be a memorable year fo...

Philly drafts Mikal Bridges then trades him, then drafts shamet. Fail. From the same guy who said Shamet was not a first round draft pick..... https://www.nbcsports.com/philadelphia/76ers/sixers-select-wichita-state-guard-landry-shamet-26th-pick-nba-draft From the few games (maybe 6 or 7) I have wa...

Just the name on the jersey makes me laugh.
I wish we put names on the back of our players jerseys. It makes sense why they dont, but that would be a fun jersey to own!
Yes sir it would.

With the right marketing, it would be a national jersey.
