Not a fan of the floor. The Chicago flag is overplayed.

Re: What are you expectations for the season now?

I turned off the TV last night to give myself ample processing time before commenting. Lots of stuff to address--Xs and Os, Belmont's ridiculously impressive debut, our defensive woes. What a letdown! But for me, one talking point stands above the rest: Dan Muller called Milik Yarborough 'uncoachab...

Re: What are you expectations for the season now?

I’m not about to overreact to one loss, but in all seriousness- what the he’ll did people on here expect to happen yesterday and this year? When you have a “star” senior who doesn’t play off the ball, has been sent packing once before, continues to get into trouble/suspended, has effort issues, and ...

Re: ISU vs UNI......LETS WIN THIS GAME AND MAKE THE PLAYOFFS!!

We are gonna lose this game, and I'll bet at least one more.

At least there are some other intriguing games on tv today to watch including: Georgia - Kentucky, LSU - Alabama, West Virginia - Texas, Penn State - MIchigan, and even Notre Dame - Nortwestern

Re: Make or Break time

No way it is watered down. A 4 team playoff is a joke. Just give the trophy away to the top teams every then. The two reasons FBS has not adopted this system is money and the big boys are scared an UCF or another mid level fbs will beat them. Yes some of the weaker FCS conferences probably do not h...

Re: Make or Break time

I disagree guys. 7-4 (6-4) Gets us in but 8-3 (7-3) Could get us a top 8 seed. The FCS playoffs are watered down as it is. If going 4-4 in conference gets one into the playoffs, then my opinion of being playoff worthy has gone to sh$:&(!t. I understand the loss at NDSU and to SDSU, but still - if y...

Re: N. Iowa - FIDO & Costanza

I had this down as the 2nd toughest game for us this year and still don’t feel good about our chances. It will take a great defensive effort to come out of there with a W. If we win this game, I think we might just run the table.

Re: Taylor B out 2 months

Maybe not lead the country in scoring, assists, rebounds, steals, or blocks but we'lll definitely lead the country in stress fractures...again. The evidence sure seems to suggest this. I think Dan needs to find alternative conditioning drills. There needs to be some biking, speed squats, elliptical...

Re: Looking Farther Ahead - Jackrabbits

I think the jumbo formation works just fine ... but mainly against weaker run defenses, like we we were playing up until WIU, NDSU, and SDSU. So agree we need to disguise our run game much better than we did. Our problem is we (coaches and fans) annointed Davis too fast. He was unproven and hadn't ...

Re: Taylor B out 2 months

....seriously starting to wonder if ISU may be running the horses too hard....maybe a little less physical practice and more in the film room/class room would be better overall in many ways? Maybe not lead the country in scoring, assists, rebounds, steals, or blocks but we'lll definitely lead the c...

Re: Why not St. Louis as the location of the FCS National Championship game??

By the way, I would fully assume that NCAA has marketing people trying to identify more optimal host cities for various playoff events. They would be stupid if they didn't take a proactive interest in convincing prospective host cities and venues. They do this for a living and stand to benefit from...

Re: Why not St. Louis as the location of the FCS National Championship game??

I could care less about empty seats - makes zero difference to me. I look at the problems with ticket availability - that is a MUCH bigger problem. Take that out of the equation. Then second is playing surface - the field in Frisco is terrible for football. It has far to much of a sandy base - that...

He’a a former 3-sport high school athlete who has had success in all 3 sports....I’m sure it’s tough to sit ......but it’s also difficult to train and have your head and heart into the program when you look into the future and wonder how you might find your way into the field with all that depth. Re: Birch leaves team

Even without our depth at RB, I just didn’t see him on the field as a running back at this level. Yes, he had his moment as a Butler hurdler, but he does not have the wiggle or acceleration that you often see at the running back position. His size and ability makes me think linebacker, but we’re sta...

Re: Why not St. Louis as the location of the FCS National Championship game??

Frisco makes more sense than St Louis for any outdoor venue. Both are easy to fly to, so that is a draw. But weather has to be deciding factor, and then venue size. Risk of snow and cold can't ignored. It just depends on who submits a bid. D2 is now in Kansas City and D3 will be in Canton, Ohio in ...

Re: Why not St. Louis as the location of the FCS National Championship game??

I thought the stadium in Frisch was good, but everything else sucked. It was like playing in Elgin, and with fans spread out for 30-40 miles. There was no main area in which to gather the day before the game, after the game, etc. Everything seemed up be a $40 cab ride away, too. I spent two or three...
