Oh for shame! This will clearly inconvenience the masses. God forbid they try to speed up the lines. A pox upon the house of the Bird.

Re: Abdou Ndiaye COMMITTED to ISU

He's either eligible right now or he's not. And yes it takes a long time for the clearinghouse IF there's a question as to the validity of any of his 16 core courses. This is a complicated process and high schools have a complicated task in getting their core courses approved. To illustrate this che...

Re: NBA Summer League 2018

I'll say it again. I think MiKyle actually hurt his NBA chances transferring. For sure. Transferring out to become the #2 or maybe even #3 guy on an average at best team isn't exactly a step towards the NBA. He should have spent last summer in Normal working on his game. And the winter leading the ...

Re: 2019 - Chris Payton, 6-7/205, SF, Bloomington, IL

this recruitment is somewhat peculiar. Reminds me a bit of the infamous Bradley/SIU recruiting battle of Pookie Twinklers from Canada a few years ago. He was supposed to be the next big thing in the Valley and it never happened. I wonder if MiKyle knows him from playing in Canada? Pookie Twinklers?...

Re: Coverage Strategy - Man, Ball, or Both

Sorry. Football. Football terminology. Every subject matter has its own terminology and jargon. With some subjects like astrophysics the terminology can be difficult to grasp even when it's explained to you. I don't find that to be the case with football terminology. Most of it is based on concepts...

Re: Coverage Strategy - Man, Ball, or Both

A successful team incorporates both man and zone. A cover 2 over the top with man to man under is a pretty standard way to go. With ISU's linebackers being as athletic as they are, I can see them letting Linebackers cover backs and TE (hell, even some slot WR) in man while still keeping safety help...

Re: Elijah Smoot committed....

This is why I respect NU and schools like Stanford, Creighton, Villanova and a few others. They are not willing, typically, to stretch admissions protocol to a ridiculous level for athletics. Were you around when NU got to the Rose Bowl under Gary Barnett? He didn’t stretch the rules, he ignored th...

Re: Abdou Ndiaye COMMITTED to ISU

There was something mightily wrong with the CGM Prep Academy. Kid was only there a semester so they couldn't have screwed him too badly. The only reason I can think of for not being in Normal is he's taking the one class the NCAA allows after graduation.
